Daily Life at Hogwarts Chapter 684: Dumbledore has something to say
The train finally arrives at Hogsmeade Station.
The students who had just got off the train were immediately soaked by the cold rain outside and shivered.
What the hell!
December is not so gloomy.
Albert, who had just got off the train, felt a chill coming towards his face, and he actually exhaled a big breath of heat.
However, Albert had made preparations long ago. He had already put on a thick cloak and a raincoat over himself. He raised his wand to hold the umbrella to block the cold rain falling from above his head.
It's all the Dementors' fault!
It must be the activities of those guys that caused the chill on this scale, otherwise, how could the platform freeze in the weather like this.
What the hell!
Are all wizards in such good shape?
After being drenched in rain like this, there is no collective cold?
"First graders come here!"
At one end of the platform, Hagrid was holding a lantern and beckoning to the panicked new students, ready to lead them on a traditional trip across the lake.
The rest of the students huddled together, shivering, and crowded toward the carriage procession on the street under the rain curtain. They couldn't wait to board the carriage and head to the warm Hogwarts Castle.
Albert easily found Fred, George and Lee Jordan, all three of whom had mastered the trick of using wands to conjure umbrellas and were waiting for him at the platform, standing out among the shivering crowd.
"Oh my God, you're so prepared."
Fred, George, and Lee Jordan all stared at the heavily armed Albert.
"I had long guessed that the Dementors would make the Hogwarts weather look like this." Albert raised his finger and pointed to the sky above everyone's heads, signaling the three to look up.
Dementors can be seen looming over the rain screen watching the train platform from above.
"Azkaban prison must be scary!" George muttered softly.
"Keep up, don't get left behind."
The crowd crossed the rough and muddy path and finally found the wagon train on the streets of Hogsmeade. The students hurried to the wagons they had chosen and quickly got into the carriage, as if trying to isolate the rain and cold outside. Outside the car.
After the four of them got into the car, they couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Even with umbrellas, some of their robes were soaked by the rain, not to mention the unlucky ones who were completely wet. I'm afraid they are now shivering in the corner of the car!
"It sucks!"
Fred shuddered as he sniffed the musty and straw in the air.
Albert took out his wand, evaporated the wet rain on the robes for the three of them, and reminded: "You better take the time to learn this, some magic is still very useful, and can be used to invent similar magic in the future. Props, I think most students will be willing to spend some money to buy this thing, it always rains in the school season."
"You're right, other unlucky people who get wet in the rain will definitely buy it for a reason." Both Fred and George felt that there should be a market for this thing, and a market means there is money to be made.
The carriage drove towards the castle, and as it passed the Hogwarts school gate, Albert saw two tall, cloaked Dementors standing guard on either side of the gate.
An inexplicable chill hit the carriage.
Fred, George, and Lee Jordan seemed to be unaware, pointing at the dementors outside the car, perhaps Albert sitting beside them, giving them a lot of courage.
The carriage travels along a long ramp and eventually stops in front of the castle.
The four got out of the carriage one after another, holding up umbrellas to join the crowd hurried to the stone steps.
After walking through the huge oak door, the chill in the air was dissipated by torches on the wall.
Albert followed the crowd to the hall and glanced at the candles suspended in mid-air. These magical candles were enchanted so that no wax oil would drip from the head, otherwise it would be another story. The scenery is gone.
Albert found a place to sit down and looked up at the teacher's chair when he noticed something more interesting. Their potions professor, Snape, kept his eyes on the new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, his thin, sallow face twisted with anger and disgust.
"Look at the teacher's chair." Albert said softly, "Our Potions Professor seems to know the new Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor..."
"It wasn't just because of the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor being robbed." Fred looked a little gloating, and Snape's unhappiness was the source of their happiness.
"I suspect they have a grudge," George added in a low voice.
"Perhaps, Snape was robbed of his girlfriend by the other party." Li Jordan guessed maliciously, "Otherwise, there would be no such unforgettable hatred."
"Snape can find a girlfriend?" Fred and George questioned.
"Don't forget, Snape received Valentine's Day chocolates." Albert kindly reminded the three of them.
These words immediately silenced the three of them, fearing that Snape would find out if they laughed out loud.
"Ahem, where did you say Professor McGonagall went?" Fred looked at Professor Flitwick, who walked into the auditorium with an old hat and a three-legged stool, and quickly changed the subject.
"Probably... sent Harry to the school hospital," George speculated, noticing that there was a seat beside Ron and Harry Potter wasn't in the auditorium now.
"Be quiet, the sorting ceremony is about to begin."
Albert quietly looked at the sorting hat on the three-legged stool, recalling his memories of sorting.
Gryffindor.
There's nothing wrong with that.
Albert actually didn't care about the branch. He was a little hungry and regretted not having a snack just now.
Most of the students in the hall have little patience for the sorting ceremony.
It's finally over.
After the sorting ceremony, Albert was also relieved, and heard a whisper behind him. He followed everyone back and found that they were all looking at Harry and discussing the famous Harry Potter. Passing out in front of Dementors.
However, people will soon run out of time to talk about Harry Potter.
In the teacher's chair, the principal stood up and spoke.
"Welcome!"
Dumbledore's customary spread his arms and said, "Welcome to Hogwarts in the new school year! Welcome to our old students - I have one very serious business to do before you get dizzy with good food. Make it clear to you all."
All murmurs disappeared, and the auditorium suddenly fell silent.
Dumbledore rarely talks nonsense before dinner parties, and he does so now, obviously to say something very important.
"Dementors from Azkaban will be at Hogwarts on Ministry of Magic duty." Dumbledore cleared his throat and warned sternly: "During their stay here, any No one is allowed to leave the school without permission."
"Don't play tricks with Dementors, and don't try to deceive them with disguise, not even the Invisibility Cloak. They don't know what a request or excuse is by nature." Dumbledore said this, still Glancing in Harry's direction, he continued, "I hope the prefects, as well as our newly appointed Presidents of the Boys' and Girls' Councils, will ensure that no student will come into conflict with the Dementors."
"Please don't give the Dementors an excuse to hurt you, okay?"
When Dumbledore mentioned the President of the Student Union, Percy couldn't help but puffed out his chest, as if trying to make it clear that the President's badge was on his chest.
"I feel like Dumbledore is talking about you." George touched Albert's ribs with his elbow and said with a smile, "He looked this way just now."
"You're overthinking." Albert said calmly.
"Someone used the Patronus to smear the Dementor's face when he disagreed."
"I think if you encounter Dementors in Hogsmeade, you might do the same." Lee Jordan had such an expression, "call the Patronus directly to drive them away."
"Don't be stupid, I dare say that this year the school will send a professor to Hogsmeade Village to watch, and nothing will happen there." Albert did not hide his disgust for Dementors, he believed No one likes those monsters.
"...Two new teachers join us." Dumbledore continued: "The first is Professor Lupin, who has agreed to fill the Defence Against the Dark Arts course."
"Speaking of which, there are still people who dare to apply for the post of Defence Against the Dark Arts professor?"
"Maybe, he needs this decent job, and Professor Lupin doesn't look very rich." Albert calmly analyzed, "If he has a good teaching level, but can't find a job, Some things are very suspicious."
"What is questionable."
"Identity."
"Identity? You think there is something wrong with Professor Lupin, is he really Sirius Black in disguise?"
"Probably not, or Dumbledore will surely find something wrong."
"...Rubber Hagrid has come to fill the vacancy, and he has agreed to serve as a teacher in addition to being a gamekeeper."
"Don't be too happy, Hagrid may know a lot about magical animals, but he is definitely not a qualified professor." Albert looked at the three who were applauding, and poured cold water coldly.
"That biting book really doesn't look good!" Fred muttered.
"Think of the cuties Hagrid has raised. God knows what's going to happen in his class."
"Three-headed dog."
"Fire dragon."
"Eight-eyed spider."
"Oh my god, that's not a good idea." Fred muttered softly. "He wouldn't really get the tarantula into class, would he?"
He hates those big spiders.
"Probably not."
No one really gets the octopus into the classroom.
"Fortunately, after this year, we won't have to take the Conservation of Magical Creatures class again."
"...and start eating now!"
As soon as the words fell, the golden plates and goblets in front of them were suddenly filled with food and drink, and the table even groaned overwhelmed.
While Albert was cutting a steak, Nick, who almost frowned, floated over and said to Albert with a smile, "You really have become a prefect."
"Thank you."
"Professor McGonagall asked me to tell you, the password: It's a lucky star."
"That's what a prefect is good for," Lee Jordan teased.
"Shut up and eat your potatoes."
After everyone had eaten and drank the ~IndoMTL.com~ the sound of the auditorium gradually became noisy, Dumbledore said a few more words, and let everyone go back to rest.
"See you later." After saying goodbye to Fred, George and Lee Jordan, Albert walked to the end of the Gryffindor long table and shouted towards the table, "First-year freshman, please come this way. Go!"
This time, Albert and Shanna didn't cut the path. After leaving the restaurant, they climbed the marble stairs and honestly followed the path Percy took them.
Albert led the freshman through the door hidden behind the sliding shutters and hanging drapery, and trudged up many stairs, and finally came to the portrait of the Fat Lady at the end of the corridor.
"Password?"
"The lucky star shines brightly."
"This is the Gryffindor common room." Albert introduced to the freshmen, "You will live here in the future."
"I'll leave it to you girls," he said to Shanna. New update fastest https://www.biqusan.(com)/https://
"Okay." Shanna said behind her, "Ladies, keep up."
Albert led the boys to their dormitory. If Percy hadn't mentioned it to him on the train, he wouldn't know where the freshman's dormitory was.
After finally finishing his work, Albert dragged his weary pace back to the dormitory.
As soon as he opened the door, he saw a fat cat squatting on the table staring at him, his resentful eyes seemed to say: I am hungry.
