Mutated Tao Chapter 42: Temple

In Li Huowang's impression. Most of the temples are built on mountains, and temples built in cities are relatively rare.

But this is not what he cares about. What he cares more about now is the name of the temple mentioned by the pilgrim just now, "Zhengde Temple?"

Li Huowang immediately recalled what Zhengkun said to Danyangzi before he died. They seemed to have been chased and killed by this monk from Zhengde Temple.

His heart began to beat faster, and he found the right place. After experiencing so many things along the way, he finally arrived.

At this moment, with a turn, the front suddenly opened up.

Clean and tidy stone slabs all the way to the bottom of the wide steps, and at the end of these hundreds of steps, a majestic temple with red walls surrounded by cigarettes comes into view.

On the black plaque above the tall temple gate, three big characters are written in vermilion, Zhengde Temple,

The first couplet: The cultivation of virtue is due to the perfect Dharma body, and the second couplet: The clear water and the moon reveal the dignity of the jade cover.

Under the flourishing incense, the whole temple is shrouded in white smoke, which looks very fairy-like.

"Master Xiaodao, I won't accompany you in. Please do as you please. By the way, Xijing City is different from Jianye. There is a curfew at night. Remember to come back before dark."

Li Huowang took a deep breath and walked towards the crowded steps.

Follow the pilgrims and walk into the temple all the way, and several halls are located in front of you.

At this moment, Li Huowang stood there like a rock in the crowd, looking at everything around him.

The temple was found, but the next question stumped him, how should he get in touch with the monks in this temple?

Call directly that you are Dan Yangzi's disciple? Afraid that if you don't die, you will be slapped to death by them.

Before Li Huowang could come up with a countermeasure, the monk from Zhengde Temple approached him first. After all, even in a crowded crowd, the Taoist robe on Li Huowang was too eye-catching.

As soon as the other party opened his mouth, the pure taste of Buddhism was not comparable to that of the old monk before. "Amitabha, the poor monk is firm and polite."

Seeing the rich monk in front of him clasping his hands together, Li Huowang immediately returned the salute. "Master, it's a pleasure to meet you, in Xia Xuanyang."

"As a Taoist disciple, the benefactor must not come to this temple to burn incense and worship Buddha? Please come here."

Looking at the lively crowd around him, Li Huowang nodded and followed him towards the side door next to him.

Looking at the ring scar on the monk's head in front of him, Li Huowang began to ponder what to say next.

The two continued to shuttle between the majestic temples, and the hustle and bustle of the crowd at the gate gradually receded. Finally, they stopped under a bright yellow ginkgo tree and in front of a group of stone tables and benches.

"Please benefactor." Monk Jian Huan sat down, twirling a string of beads with both hands unhurriedly.

He didn't ask Li Huowang about his sect, nor did he ask Li Huowang, he fully expressed the pure heart and light desires of Buddhist disciples.

After thinking for a while, Li Huowang looked at the monk in front of him. "Danyangzi is dead."

With a "click", the yellow-brown beads were scattered everywhere.

Seeing the fat monk standing up in front of him, Li Huowang nodded secretly.

No mistake, the monk here really had contact with Dan Yangzi.

"The Ox-nosed Old Daoist is really dead? This matter is of great importance, please ask the benefactor to come along."

Since you want to know the answer, of course you must tell the other party enough information.

In addition to concealing that he took the so-called heavenly book, Li Huowang told the monk in front of him everything that happened in Qingfeng Temple.

"Master, in that situation, can Dan Yangzi really become a fairy?"

Speaking of this, Li Huowang leaned forward slightly, and continued to ask with a dignified expression: "Or maybe he became something else?"

A breeze blew by, rustling the golden leaves of the nearby ginkgo tree.

"The benefactor really heard that Dan Yangzi was speaking in your ear?" Jian Chao with the same solemn expression confirmed again.

"Well, it's absolutely true, and it's not just a hallucination, but also the abnormality of the happy spirit."

Recalling the scene at that time, Li Huowang's eyes showed a trace of irritability.

"The Xishen, who couldn't be seen directly, was about to crawl out of the darkness and eat me, but his body hidden in the darkness seemed to be pulled by something."

"Although there is no reason, but I have a guess in my heart that the one who pulls the **** of death in the dark is Danyangzi, the queen of immortality."

Jian Chao stood up after thinking about it with a solemn expression. "Benefactor, please wait a moment, this matter is of great importance."

After speaking, Jian Huan clasped his hands together towards Li Huowang, turned around and left in a hurry.

Although the other party didn't say anything, his attitude has already expressed some information.

Li Huowang raised his head and looked at the clouds in the sky. "Sure enough, the matter of Danyangzi is not so easy to end."

Jian Huowang came back faster than Li Huowang imagined, at most only half a stick of incense, he hurried back with a string of new Buddhist beads in his hand.

"Master Xuanyang, this way please, the abbot wants to see you in person."

Zhengde Temple is very large. After Li Huowang shuttled between the temples for a while, he finally stood in front of a magnificent hall.

Through the eight-door palace door, Li Huowang saw the huge majestic golden Buddha with a height of more than ten feet and five sitting cross-legged in different postures.

On the futon in front of the five golden Buddhas, there is a figure wearing cassock sitting on the futon. On his head is a five-Buddha hat similar to that of a Tang monk.

When Li Huowang walked in, he heard the monk's chanting, because the hall was spacious enough, the sound of chanting even produced ethereal echoes.

Under the gaze of the five huge golden Buddhas, Li Huowang involuntarily began to slow down his pace.

The chanting stopped, and the monk sitting cross-legged on the futon turned around slowly.

Li Huowang was surprised when he saw the appearance of this monk.

It was an old abbot with white eyebrows and beard. What was unexpected was not his unusually kind appearance, but his eyes.

Those were a pair of pink eyes. Li Huowang could recognize them at a glance after spending so long together day and night. Like Bai Lingmiao, he had albinism.

"Amitabha, old monk Xinhui is polite." Abbot Xinhui clasped his hands together and spoke calmly.

"I met the abbot in Xiaxuanyang." Li Huowang sat down in front of him after paying his respects.

"Abbot, about Danyangzi——"

Li Huowang was blocked by the raised hand of Li Huowang just halfway through his words.

"Master Xuanyang, do you know the five Buddhas in this hall?"

Seeing Li Huowang shaking his head, Xinhui explained while stroking his white beard: "From left to right are: the Buddha of Xiangji in the east, Baosheng Buddha in the world of joy in the south, Amitabha in the world of bliss in the west, and Amitabha in the north. The lotus world has become a Buddha, and they are collectively called the five wise Tathagata."

Li Huowang couldn't help feeling a little anxious, what did the monk mean when he said these nonsensical words to him.

"Abbot, let's talk about this later when you have time. May I ask what has become of Danyangzi?"

Xinhui clasped his hands together and looked at Li Huowang calmly again. "He has become a Buddha."
