Hogwarts Outsider Chapter 9: No. 13 and No. 11

Matthew Wakefield always thought he was going crazy.

Because of that strange book with unknown origin.

But that wasn't the case, until three days later, he was still alive and well, in room thirteen of the Leaky Cauldron.

And that book has been lying quietly in the abandoned toad glass box; Matthew has not actively touched it; it has not had any impact on Matthew's life.

So much so that he once thought he could say goodbye to the book when he left the Leaky Cauldron.

But on the night of August 31, the book disappeared from Matthew's sight again and "leaved" from the glass box; later, when he packed his luggage for Hogwarts , found the book lying quietly at the bottom of the suitcase.

It just moved a position.

In the past few days, Matthew could hardly control the temptation in his heart several times, trying to open the book.

Take a look at what is written on it, and find out what secrets it hides...

But in the end, reason prevailed.

Matthew's intuition has been warning him that if he comes into contact with this mysterious magical item without any knowledge, the consequences will be disastrous.

The tragic death of the black-eyed toad had already left a deep impression on his mind.

Even after seeing the book lying quietly at the bottom of the suitcase, Matthew still locked the suitcase calmly as if nothing had happened.

Then he lay down on the bed and fell asleep peacefully.

……

Early the next morning, Matthew woke up at six o'clock.

Regarding the upcoming Hogwarts, he was a little curious, a little nervous, a little excited, and a little scared.

After getting up from the bed, he put on a black wizard robe he bought in Diagon Alley a few days ago; although the weather is still hot, this seemingly thick robe is quite comfortable to wear... ...Probably cast some kind of cooling magic.

Then, he found the letter that Penelope Clearwater gave him before leaving.

In the envelope, there is only one train ticket...Let Matthew take the Hogwarts Express at Platform 9 at King's Cross Station at eleven o'clock in the morning on September 1st.

Apart from this, there are no hints and explanations.

However, Miss Clearwater also told him before leaving that Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, would send him there, so Matthew just waited quietly in the room.

Until ten thirty in the morning, there was a light knock on the door of Room No. 13.

Go to open the door, and there is Tom, the bar owner, thin and toothless, holding a small flowerpot containing shiny green powder in his hand.

"It's been a long time, Mr. Wakefield!" He grinned and said with a smile.

"Come in, sir!" Matthew said hastily.

Tom walked into the thirteenth room, and then walked slowly to the fireplace. He snapped his fingers, and the dark green flame in the fireplace rose instantly.

"We'll go to King's Cross via Floo, Mr Wakefield," Tom explained, "just going in through one fireplace and coming out of the other...very simple and very Easy...you just need to say the words 'King's Cross Station' clearly...as long as you speak correctly, you won't go to the wrong fireplace..."

The process of how he will use the Floo powder is described in detail, and Matthew is also listening quietly.

After repeatedly confirming that Matthew had fully understood all the steps, Tom just put the flower pot on the mantelpiece.

"Let me do a demonstration first, and help you bring your luggage there first." He grabbed Matthew's suitcase.

Then Tom picked up a pinch of shiny powder from the pot, went to the fire, and threw the powder into the flames.

With a cry, the fire in the furnace turned emerald green, rising higher than the old man. He walked straight into the fire, shouted "King's Cross Station", and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Matthew took a deep breath, reached out for a handful of Floo powder, and walked to the flame:

"King's Cross Station!"

As if he was sucked into a huge washing machine, his whole body was spinning rapidly, the whistling sound in his ears was deafening, and the green flames in front of his eyes were dazzling...

Looking around, you can see a series of fireplace doors flashing vaguely, and you can even vaguely glimpse the room outside the fireplace...

After an unknown amount of time, Matthew suddenly realized that he had arrived at his destination.

He is now in a rather wide space... The walls on all sides are paneled with jet-black and glossy dark wood, and many fireplaces with emerald green flames are embedded in the wood panels. Every few seconds, with a soft pop, a wizard popped out of one of the fireplaces to the left. And on the right side, there are one or two people waiting to leave in front of each fireplace.

"Mr. Wakefield!" Tom handed Matthew's suitcase back to him: "I wish you a happy stay at Hogwarts."

"Thank you, Mr. Tom." Matthew bowed lightly~IndoMTL.com~Thank you.

The owner of the Leaky Cauldron just smiled, and started queuing up in front of the fireplace on the right to leave.

……

Walk out of the room full of fireplaces, and you will arrive at King's Cross Station.

A crimson steam locomotive is parked on a platform full of passengers. A sign on the train read: Hogwarts Express, eleven o'clock.

And the sign on the platform at the side reads: Platform 9.

The thick smoke of the steam locomotive filled the air above the chattering crowd. All kinds of cats walked around under people's feet, and a few toads could be vaguely seen jumping around. The screams of owls, mixed with the voices of the crowd and the sound of heavy luggage dragging, seemed very harsh.

Matthew squeezed through the crowd. The scene on the platform was somewhat similar to what he remembered.

Just when he was about to get in the car to find a box——

"Hey, hey!" Someone seemed to be calling him behind him.

Matthew turned around in confusion, and saw a girl with very thick and unkempt brown hair, holding a big **** cat in her arms, running towards him.

"Hello?" Matthew frowned. He didn't seem to know each other in his memory.

"You are number thirteen, right?" the girl asked with some interest.

"No. 13..." It took Matthew a while to realize that this is his room number in the Leaky Cauldron. He nodded, "Yes, that's right."

"When I was at the Leaky Cauldron, I saw you several times; I always wanted to say hello to you, but I didn't have the chance these days... By the way, I am number eleven!"

The girl grinned, revealing two small rabbit teeth.
