Hogwarts Outsider Chapter 37: Suspect
With both wings fully extended, the hippogriff was almost twelve feet long, like a small airplane.
Matthew could only bend down and try to hug its neck.
The flapping of the two wings made Matthew feel very uncomfortable; because the calf would stumble from time to time, as if it might be thrown off the bird's back at any time.
The smooth feathers slipped under his fingers, but he didn't dare to pull them hard, for fear of angering the giant bird, so he could only hug his neck as hard as possible.
And the Hippogriff's hind legs fluctuated up and down with the flapping of its wings, and Matthew also felt that he was violently bumping up and down.
Everything on the ground began to shrink at a speed visible to the naked eye.
The wind whistled in his ears, the air whizzed through his hair, and the robe fluttered behind him...
Matthew tried to open his eyes and looked around.
The sun hasn't fully risen yet, but it's daylight.
Suddenly, he had a wonderful feeling that everything was under his panoramic view, as if they were all under his control!
Is this what it feels like to fly...
……
Until the Hippogriff landed in front of Professor Kettleburn's cabin, Matthew's legs were still trembling slightly.
"Wakefield, your after-school practice for this week is over!" Professor Kettleburn immediately jumped off the Hippogriff.
He put the unicorn's body down, and then took down a plucked pheasant from the beam of the hut.
"Next, little one!" He threw the pheasant at the hippogriff.
The hippogriff jumped high, took the pheasant, and began to tear it with its sharp claws, starting its breakfast.
"Professor Kettleburn!" Matthew suddenly remembered something, and he quickly handed back the teapot to Professor Kettleburn.
"Oh, **** it, I almost forgot about it!" Professor Kettleburn slapped his forehead, and he quickly and carefully took the teapot, and then put it on a wooden table in front of the cabin.
"I should have brought it back when I left the Forbidden Forest, or if you dropped it while flying, it would be terrible!" Professor Kettleburn said to himself over there.
Matthew's legs stopped shaking, and he patted the feathers on the robe: "Then Professor Kettleburn, the after-school practice is over, can I go back?"
"Of course." Professor Kettleburn nodded, "The main reason is that I encountered a little accident today. I have to go to the castle again and tell Principal Rozier about the attack on the unicorn..."
While speaking, Professor Kettleburn carried the unicorn's body on his back again.
"That's great!" Matthew thought to himself.
It's only a quarter past six in the morning. If you go back to the castle now, you won't be delayed at all this weekend.
"We can go to the castle together..." While speaking, Professor Kettleburn suddenly froze.
His eyes looked in the direction of the Forbidden Forest, and his face gradually became serious.
Because at this moment, a figure came out of the Forbidden Forest furtively.
……
Professor Kettleburn strode forward while drawing out his wand.
"Who!" he snapped.
After approaching dozens of yards, he saw clearly who the person who came out of the Forbidden Forest was——
"Professor Troka?" Professor Kettleburn seemed relieved: "So it's you, I thought it was a student sneaking into the Forbidden Forest..."
It was indeed Professor Troka, the teacher of Transfiguration, who came out of the Forbidden Forest.
His complexion was slightly healthier than before, not so haggard and pale.
When stopped by Professor Kettleburn, Professor Troka seemed taken aback.
"Good morning...Professor Kettleburn..." He stammered.
While speaking, he was a little terrified, and glanced at the rising sun on the skyline.
"Why are you here?" Professor Kettleburn questioned, looking up and down at the other party with suspicious eyes.
"I just heard that shrunken figs can be found in the Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts..." Professor Troka continued to reply intermittently: "So I came here to look for it..."
"That's not necessary so early, is it?" Professor Kettleburn's suspicious eyes remained: "It's just after six o'clock... Besides, did you find it?"
"Of course..." Professor Troka nodded first, and then quickly shook his head: "I mean, I haven't found it yet..."
"Then the next time I go to the Forbidden Forest, I will help you find a few." Professor Kettleburn said coldly.
"Thank you very much..." Professor Troka nodded quickly, he looked very anxious, and glanced at the sky again: "I have to go back to the castle, Professor Kettleburn, let's talk next time... ..."
After speaking, he walked quickly towards the castle without looking back.
Professor Kettleburn glanced at the back of Professor Troka, then at the corpse of the unicorn, and frowned.
"Let's go to the castle too, Wakefield!" He did not forget that there was another student.
However, there is no response.
It looks like Matthew Wakefield has left early.
"Now these young people!" Professor Kettleburn shook his head helplessly, and then walked towards the Hogwarts castle.
……
On the second floor of Hogwarts Castle, the office of Vice-Principal Professor Vita Rozier——
Professor Rozier got up early and came to her office. Now, she is drinking black tea.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
Professor Rozier frowned, put down the black tea in his hand, and closed the lid at the same time.
Then, she just said: "Please come in!"
"Professor Rozier!" Professor Kettleburn pushed open the door, limped in and placed the unicorn's body on the ground.
"Sivanos, what's the matter?" Professor Rozier looked at the corpse on the ground ~IndoMTL.com~ and asked softly.
"This unicorn was murdered. Less than an hour ago... when I found its body, it was still warm." Professor Kettleburn quickly explained.
While he was speaking, Professor Rozier had already bent down to examine the corpse on the ground.
"The blood has been sucked up..." she murmured.
"That's right!" Professor Kettleburn nodded.
Professor Rozier seemed to be stunned there, as if thinking about something——
After a few minutes, she finally spoke again: "I see, Silvanos... you can leave this corpse here, and I will check it again."
"Okay." Professor Kettleburn hesitated to speak.
"Anything else?" Professor Rozier raised his head.
"Yes... not long after I found the unicorn's body, at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, I met Professor Troka, who looked sneaky..." Professor Kettleburn whispered.
"Professor Troka." Professor Rozier's expression did not fluctuate, she just nodded lightly: "Okay, I see, Silvanos."
"So farewell, ma'am!"
Professor Kettleburn quickly left the office.
Professor Rozier waved his wand lightly, and a cabinet on one side was automatically opened, and then the body of the unicorn flew into the cabinet—
And Professor Rozier returned to her seat.
She picked up the cup of black tea again and took a sip.
A drop of black tea accidentally fell on the ground...
Its color is a bit strange, very red, like the red of blood!
