Harry Potter: Dark Alchemy Chapter 35: The first lesson of the big purple bald head
Wright had no idea what happened in the principal's office. When he woke up on Tuesday morning, he didn't wait until the beginning of the day in the common room as usual. But Wright didn't feel that there was anything wrong with this, anyway, he would encounter it again in the Defence Against the Dark Arts class, and it would not be too late for a while.
The class with the big purple bald head is in the second quarter of the morning, so there is no need to rush to the hall for breakfast like yesterday. After slowly eating the staple food on the side of the long table in the hall, Wright was still interested in holding a glass of pumpkin juice and slowly tasting it.
What Professor McGonagall’s optimistic, Professor Flitwick’s praise, are all secondary. People are iron rice or steel. The most important thing is to eat a full stomach first if you don't eat a meal.
After the bell rang for the first get out of class, Wright hurriedly put away the manuscript paper on the desk. The pile of manuscripts was filled with design drawings about the new flying broom, which was the flying broom redesigned by Wright based on Ladis’s manuscript last night. But it was just a first draft, and it was far from forming.
Then, Wright went to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom on the third floor.
As soon as he walked into the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, Wright knew that this class would be very different from what he expected. Although I don't know if the big purple bald head that teaches is really Thanos, but the course he teaches will definitely come out with real materials.
The Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom is very different from yesterday’s Transfiguration and Conjuration Classrooms, and is more similar to the kind of lecture classrooms in universities dedicated to large classes. Layers of stairs rise from the floor to a height close to the middle of the wall, and the stairs are filled with student tables and chairs in sequence.
Wright unexpectedly discovered that freshmen from other colleges had been seated on these tables and chairs, which meant that this Defence Against the Dark Arts class was taught by the four colleges, at least in Wright’s first grade.
After a while, Wright found Chang Chu who was sitting in the corner on the left, and she was concentrating on reading the textbook on the desktop. Wright habitually walked to the empty seat next to Chang Chu to sit down, but today Chang Chu did not smile and greet him like before, but frowned instead.
Wright touched his face a little strangely, but he didn’t find any pumpkin juice residue...
Seeing that Chang Chu didn't say anything, Wright had to press his inquiring mind, and instead took the textbook to the table, and started reading as usual. On the Hogwarts shopping list for first-year students, there is only one book on Defence Against the Dark Arts class, and that is "Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Defense" written by Quentin Trimble.
Wright has read through this book during the summer vacation, and has memorized some important contents recorded on it. He took out the book now, just wanting to review it before class is still in session.
As time goes by, more and more students come in in the classroom, and the noise becomes more and more noisy. Wright raised his head and looked around, and found that the first-year students were almost there. The only ones he had impressions were Komic McLagen from Gryffindor and Terry Terry from Slytherin. Firth, let alone the other students of Ravenclaw.
As for the students of Hufflepuff, I'm sorry, there are too many of them, and they haven't made any outstanding performance in these two days. Even though Wright had a whole day of class with them yesterday, he still had no deep impression on them.
After the class bell rang, Professor Derwent Simplin slowly opened a wooden door set on the second floor of the classroom, and walked down the stairs in front of the door to the podium. Of course, Wright still has reservations about whether this big purple bald head is really called Derwent Simplin.
"Good morning, my dear students." After stopping on the edge of the podium, Professor Derwent said to the students under the stage with a smile, just like he had been in the past fifty years. Greeting the audience in the audience as calmly.
"Good morning, Professor Derwent!" The response from the students in the audience was more than Wright expected.
"Well, you all already know me, I don't have to introduce myself." Professor Derwent still kept a smiling face, "As for the students who are not necessary for roll call, they will miss the first class. It’s not worth my attention."
New students under the stage, look at me, and I will look at you. In this short minute, they already felt the difference between this professor and the other professors.
"I am personally honored to be invited by Dumbledore to come to teach at Hogwarts." Professor Derwent said, "It is also a great honor to teach the course of Defense Against the Dark Arts, which was originally called It was a course in combat magic class~IndoMTL.com~ Some students in the audience seemed surprised by what Professor Derwent said and prepared to take out their notebooks to write this down, but Professor Derwent stopped them immediately.
" Don’t remember this thing, the previous name of this course has been abandoned. No dark wizard will spare you because you remember what this course was originally called, and no magic will be because you know This is more powerful."
Many students obediently put down their notes, and more students looked at Professor Derwent eagerly. According to the warnings of their family and the experience of senior seniors, they already knew what a reliable Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher would be like.
"I believe you should have discovered that the classroom is full of freshmen from four colleges at this time. That's right, I have merged all the Defense Against the Dark Arts classes in the first grade, and I will do the same in the future." Professor Derwent looked around the classroom.
"I will teach you how to use black magic correctly, and how to defend it correctly."
"I will teach you how to fight instead of asking you to hand in a ten-inch essay on how to resist the red hat before next Monday."
"If you want, I have also arranged some extracurricular activities with your second-year seniors. I think those small activities are fun and useful."
"Of course, if you are not willing, there is no way to refuse, after all, I am the teacher of this course."
"Now, please put your belongings in the drawer, and then I will clear the space in the classroom."
"Then, I will teach you three very practical magic, namely attack: fainted, defense: armor protection, and disarm: except your weapon."
