A Professor of Magic at Hogwarts Chapter 57: Emergency
On Tuesday morning, the weather was rare and clear, and the winter sun shone on Hogwarts, dyeing the ancient castle with a layer of golden brilliance.
Felix slept until eight o'clock, and opened his eyes amid the laughter of several little wizards having a snowball fight.
Lifting the quilt, the cotton pajamas on her body came off automatically, and a delicate and smooth cardigan sweater was put on her body. He moved his neck to adjust the clothes more comfortably, and then under the effect of magic, he put on a pair of fleece trousers.
"Magic makes people lazy", Felix couldn't remember seeing it in a few grades, but he took it very seriously.
Finally put on a dark wizard robe, and after everything was settled, he opened the window and looked down at the snowy scenery outside the window.
The weather has warmed up quite a bit, and Felix didn't feel the cold. The open space in front of the castle and the courtyard were covered with a thick layer of white snow, and a few young wizards were rushing to the cafeteria for breakfast.
"Fortunately, I don't have class in the morning, so happiness is all about comparison."
Back in the office, he sorted out the tasks at hand recently——
Find out the chamber of secrets and deal with the basilisk (make an appointment with Dumbledore to solve it during the Christmas holiday);
Find the relics of the Dark Lord that are suspected to be horcruxes (there is no clue after three times of publicity, another proof that the little wizard is unreliable);
Practice instant killing skills (some slack recently, stagnant at the progress of four jumps);
Obtain the rare skill Parseltongue (to be reported, person in charge: Harry Potter);
Agreement with Klein (on hold indefinitely...);
The next contact with the local tyrant Hagrid (under careful preparation);
Search Hogwarts Millennium Collection (in progress);
Deal with the threat of public opinion brought by Rita Skeeter (√);
Complete the vine of rune creation binding (√);
Guide Hermione to complete the thesis (√);
Prepare Christmas gifts (√);
Undertake the dueling club plan (√);
Ancient magic text course teaching reform plan (√);
Make friends with Lockhart (the brain is flooded, this task is void);
Felix smacked his lips, there is nothing particularly urgent. With less than a week until Christmas, he was also a little lazy.
"You can visit Professor Snape and finalize the matter of the dueling club assistant."
Felix walked down the stairs of the castle and walked through the courtyard. There were a few weird snowmen beside the road—this was obviously the work of junior students, limited by their magical attainments, they could only do it by themselves. Work.
After breakfast, he went all the way down to the underground space of the castle, and found the office of the Potions professor familiarly.
Knocking on the professor's door, Snape deadpanned his request to go in.
"I thought, I didn't invite you to my office, Felix."
However, Felix has long been familiar with the professor's character, unless you want to tease him, you can speak directly, and say what he is most interested in.
So Felix said: "Professor Snape, I have obtained the approval of Headmaster Dumbledore to take charge of the subsequent dueling courses. As for the teachers, I need to know your wishes..." He stopped, Looked into Snape's eyes.
Snape pursed his lips tightly and looked at him with black eyes motionless. After a while, he stepped aside, "Come in, Felix."
The Potions Professor's office is located underground, with dim lighting. There are countless glass specimen jars on the shelves against the wall, and inside is Professor Snape's private bedroom.
Felix walked to the specimen shelf and looked carefully at one of the jars, "Is this the giant claw of an acromantula? The one that lives in the Forbidden Forest?" He asked with great interest.
Professor Snape came out from the back room, followed by two cups of pumpkin juice. "No." He said indifferently, handing him a glass of pumpkin juice.
The conversation between the two entered the topic.
"Felix, when did you **** Lockhart's dueling club from him?"
"Professor, I have to remind you that Professor Lockhart is too busy with his daily work, so he has to make a choice."
"I don't think," Snape snorted at this, "that an acting class is any use."
"Of course he is busy replying to fans' letters. As far as I know, he spends at least one hour a day to complete this job." Felix showed a mischievous smile, "I can understand Professor Lockhart's After all, we are all writers, and we have to face harassment from fans, and he is more productive than me."
"The book he wrote..." Snape didn't continue, his expression said it all. "However, you also reply to fans? This is really beyond my expectations. I don't think you will spend time on these trivial matters."
"No way," Felix said with emotion, "most of them are officials from the Ministry of Magic of various countries. We discuss Muggle legislation and how to deal with Muggles."
Snape choked.
He said: "Felix, stop playing around with me and tell me why you came."
"Professor, I want to know if you are still willing to participate in my dueling course."
"Your dueling lessons?" Snape drew a long note on the word "yours".
"Yes, my dueling course." Felix looked at him calmly.
This is a priority.
Snape fell silent.
Felix looked leisurely. He didn't know if Snape would agree, but judging from the information obtained from Lockhart, Snape offered to be an assistant in this course at that time.
This shows that he is interested in dueling lessons.
As for the reason, Felix didn't know, and he didn't care much.
However, he heard that Snape had been seeking the teaching position of Defense Against the Dark Arts, but unfortunately, Dumbledore never agreed. Is there a connection between the two?
For example, Snape used the dueling class as a substitute for Defense Against the Dark Arts? Felix speculates ~IndoMTL.com~ that I need to be involved in choosing the course content. "Snape put forward the conditions.
Felix smiled, "Of course, your experience is worthy of attention." He said.
Felix put the cup filled with pumpkin juice back on the table, and he stood up, "Professor, the next dueling class will be held after the Christmas holiday, and I will communicate with you about the content of the class, I wish you a happy day."
"No." Snape said with a straight face.
Felix, who was about to walk out the door, suddenly stopped: "By the way, Professor Snape, I have already prepared your Christmas present in advance, and I believe you will be satisfied."
With a smile on Snape's lips, he said, "I'll prepare a gift for you too, Felix."
……
In the evening, Felix and Professor Flitwick changed shifts and were in charge of routine patrols in the castle. There are always some young wizards, with various legitimate and improper reasons, who are out of the sight of professors and prefects and act alone.
But what he didn't expect was that he ran into Miss Hermione Granger who was hurrying and panting.
"Professor Haipu! My God, I finally met a professor!" The little witch said excitedly.
"Miss Granger, what happened?"
"The Chamber of Secrets...the monster in the Chamber of Secrets..." Hermione wanted to speak, but she ran quite a distance this way, and she was out of breath at the moment.
"A new attack happened?" Felix's expression became serious, is it really that big? Another attack just days before Christmas?
His assistant nodded, then shook his head.
"The attack did happen, but no one was harmed. Harry, he, he went after the basilisk, though!"
