Battle of the Third Reich Chapter 10: Go to war

Xu Jun picked up the binoculars and looked at the battlefield, thinking hard about the countermeasures.

When he saw his HEIII driving on the battlefield, suddenly a flash of light flashed in his mind, and a crazy plan appeared in Xu Jun's mind. Xu Jun lowered his head and thought for a while, then raised his head to look at the British army position opposite, making up his mind.

"It’s up to now, let’s take a gamble!"

At this time, the British shelling began suddenly. The 18th 25-pounder artillery battalion directly under the British Army’s 151st Brigade blasted desperately towards the German positions and the open space in front. The German position immediately exploded and filled with gunpowder. The large chunks of mud mixed with grass roots and blades of grass hit the trenches like rain. The soldiers in several sections of the trenches were almost buried alive by the mud.

The sound of constant violent explosions pierced the eardrums of many soldiers, and blood dripped from their ear holes.

"It's a barrage shooting. It looks like their infantry is about to charge." Mueller screamed.

"No, it's not that simple. Tell the soldiers not to act rashly. They are destroying our anti-tank minefield. Then they will bombard our artillery positions. Mueller, did you tell them to move their positions?" Xu Jun shrunk in the trench while grabbing Mueller by the collar and shouting in his ear.

   "I've been notified!" Mueller nodded.

"That's good, you order all the soldiers not to shoot until the enemy infantry enters a range of 100 meters from our position, waiting for my order."

"Yes. General." Mueller followed the trenches to find his company commanders.

"Hans!" Xu Jun shouted at Hans who was spitting mud on his side: "Connect me to the light infantry gun position and the anti-tank gun position.

"Yes, General." Hans hurriedly dragged the line telephone over the battlefield.

"Ah, is it Lieutenant Thrall? I am Reinhardt! I now order you to install smoke bombs on all light infantry guns. Yes, smoke bombs. Do you hear clearly? Set the ruler in front of the position. The range of 200 meters to 100 meters. Also, no fire is allowed without my order. Waiting for my order."

Then Xu Jun connected the anti-tank gun array and issued the same order. Finally he switched on the four 150 self-propelled artillery in the woods

"Is it Second Lieutenant Drayton? I am General Reinhardt. Now listen to me carefully, you...What? I can’t hear you, speak louder? Ah, you have determined that I will give you The coordinates? That's good! I'm here to determine this, well, you wait for my order."

Xu Jun put down the phone and let out a breath. Suddenly he seemed to think of something again, a weird smile appeared on his face, and then he pulled a German sergeant on the side and quietly explained something.

   "Huh?" The sergeant looked surprised.

   "Don't ask why, go!"

"Yes, Lord General" The sergeant hurriedly ran down the trench to the field kitchen.

"Now let's see if the British guy is really as stupid as in the movie." Xu Jun put on an M35 helmet that Mueller found for him, found an ammunition box and sat down.

The shelling finally stopped after ten minutes. The British plowed the entire open area with shells, and the anti-tank minefield was completely destroyed. The situation in the trenches is pretty good. After all, it is a wartime product from the First World War position. Although it is a bit older, it is still solid. The British shells failed to blast it down for a while. Of course, this is not a direct hit.

The shelling of did not cause any major losses to Xu Jun except for the damage to a dozen soldiers by the stones and the rupture of their eardrums. And the artillery shells that attacked Xu Jun's artillery positions hit the empty space that was already empty, all wasted.

After a while, there was a whistle from the British position opposite. Then groups of infantry came out of the woods, and under the leadership of the officers, they roared and walked towards the trenches in a line of skirmishers.

The roar of tank engines sounded in the woods. With the sound of metal friction on the tracks, about three dozen British tanks rushed out of the woods. At the forefront were the seven Matilda two side by side. The other "Matilda" 1s are also lined up behind the seven "Matilda" 2s. They crossed the infantry array, screamed "squeaky" and began to charge, the engine spraying blue smoke.

" is a "Matilda" tank, don’t worry, it doesn’t run fast, except for its thicker armor, it’s nothing terrifying. Don’t fire all weapons. Wait for my command, wait for my command, and shoot the enemy’s infantry. ! Wait until they get close."

All the soldiers and officers looked at the enemy coming towards them motionlessly. The soldiers all began to set the Mauser 98K gauge at 100 meters, and then placed the M24 grenade with the lid unscrewed neatly within their own reach.

The officers all held MP38s and opened the buttons of the magazine pockets around their waists. Some veterans took out their bayonets and stuck them in the trenches~IndoMTL.com~Other recruits all learned to do that.

"That's right, so you won't be in a hurry when you need a bayonet." Xu Jun nodded secretly.

Then Xu Jun turned his head and looked at the machine gun crew beside him preparing to shoot. The MG34 machine gun shooter stared at the target fiercely with his eyes and put his finger on the trigger. The second shooter put a bullet chain on the machine gun, and the other second shooter opened the iron bullet box next to him and dragged a bullet chain to hang it. Around his neck, he also carried an iron box with a barrel for equipment.

"Very good, it is a well-trained unit. We can verify if they are out of fame after a while." Xu Jun sighed.

Xu Jun looked back at his direct subordinates.

Hans frowned, wearing an M35 helmet that I didn’t know where he got from, and carrying an MP38, squatting next to the phone and wiping his Gru pistol. He would really find a way to calm down. Randolph wore headphones and was searching for signals from other troops in front of the radio station. He didn't care about his affairs at all. He seemed to be a serious person.

Dogen is holding a Mauser 98K sniper and looking at the opposite side. It seems that he has found a good toy. The two trainee staff were still tinkering with the Enigma. One was debugging the dirt-stained gear and the other was turning over the codebook. It seemed that they could not count on it for a while. , I really don’t know how they graduated from the military academy.

The two order soldiers each took a Mauser 98K and aimed nervously. I don't know how their marksmanship was. I hope they didn't become order soldiers because of their bad marksmanship.
