Bureau of Anomalous Biological Countermeasures Chapter 213: Kashyapa and the obsession
After returning to Fuzhong, Gui Bugui asked Penghua Yin about the origin of the old monk. Originally, the old guy didn't think there was anything special about this old monk, but if he could be favored by Guangxiao, he would have to look at it differently if he returned or not.
If it is the ordinary people in Shouchun City, they may not know what the old monk's legal name is. It is not called the abbot to preside, or it is directly called by the old monk or the old monk. The old monk was a mixture of Han Chinese and Tianzhu people, and his name was Kasyapa. It is said that he lived in Tianzhu when he was young, and he still looked like a native of Tianzhu, but after the age of forty, he followed his master to China to spread scriptures. Appearance began to be sinicized. Now it looks no different from the average Central Plains Han.
Penghua Yin knew the name Kasyapa because of the expansion of the Buddhist hall at Xinjue Temple eight years ago. The old monk personally came to ask Master Peng to beg for alms, and Peng Hua Yin saw that Kasyapa was poor, so he took 200 pieces of money with him. When filling in the amount in the merit book, I accidentally saw the old monk's name. After inquiring, I found out that his bloodline was half Han and half Tianzhu.
But Penghua Yin knows this. Apart from that time, he and Kasyapa had nothing to do with each other. That is to say, when I occasionally go out and return to the mansion, I meet an old monk at the door with a young monk to come to beg for alms, and Master Peng has a good heart. He also instructed the steward to give some more property.
It's a pity that Peng Huayin and Kasyapa have contacted several times, and the old monks are trying their best to say that Master Peng has devoted himself to Shimen as a monk. Peng Huayin's elder brother, Pengjin, was also a famous monk back then, and both of them believed in Huang Lao's teachings. I really can't get interested in Kasyapa's Buddhism. Without speculation, the two did not have any deep communication.
As for the fat monk who is obsessed with his name, he doesn't look like a Chinese, and he is much taller than the average Chinese. It's just that Yuan is obsessed with looking fierce and evil, and rarely comes out for alms. When they meet, everyone hides as soon as they can, and no one wants to go over and inquire about the origin of this monk.
"Kasyamo and Zhizhiyuan..." After Gui Bugui heard the names of the two monks, the smile on his face became somewhat restrained. He glanced at Wu Mian, who completely ignored him, and then said to himself: "The two names are not Han Chinese when you hear them, Kayemo is half Tianzhu, and he is obsessed with listening to the Xiongnu. The name of the person on the side. The two of them got together to build a temple in Shouchun City, which is a bit interesting..."
From the next day, the monks of Xinjue Temple began to come out as usual for alms. It's just that there is a monk named Guangxiao in the alms team, and Guangxiao is no different from ordinary little monks. He holds a terracotta bowl in his hand. Following behind his senior brother, he went door-to-door along the streets of Shouchun City for alms.
At this time, Guangxiao was no different from a little monk who had just entered the door. Now he is standing at the door of the house and recites a scripture to pray for blessings and longevity. When someone came out to give alms, they recited the Buddha's name to thank them. If no one came out or someone spoke ill of him, Guangxiao would just turn around and leave, never arguing with the benefactor.
It didn't take long for the people in Shouchun City to get used to the monks who came to seek alms every day, and there was this monk named Guangxiao. However, it may be that Kasyamo, considering his relationship with Wu Mian and Gui Bugui, was afraid that there would be something wrong when they met. Every time he came out to beg for alms, Guang Xiao always avoided Peng Hua Yin's mansion. After more than a month, Wu Mian, Gui Bugui and Guang Xiao had never met.
But they all live in the same city, and sooner or later they will meet each other. It was more than a month after the old monk Kasyapa brought Guangxiao back. When it was dawn this morning, Guangxiao followed a few senior brothers. Go to the merchants in the city who are just starting to do business.
At this time, the vendors selling breakfast had already started buying and selling, but it was too early and there were not a few waves of business. No one is willing to give these monks alms. After walking around, Guangren and the others only turned into two wheat cakes and a copper coin. This is not enough for the monks and a few of them to take a bite, but there are many diners who come to have breakfast after a while. They should still have a chance to get some property.
A food shop selling minced meat soup opened. The owner of this food shop is the famous Tie Rooster in Shouchun City. The monks have never turned a penny here, and the monks did not intend to pass. However, the newcomer Guangxiao didn't know the depth. After saying hello to the brothers, he took the bowl and went to the door of the restaurant.
Just as Guangxiao was chanting scriptures at the door of the food shop, he suddenly heard the boss inside shouting: "The monks who are chanting scriptures from outside come in. Today your Buddha bless you, there is a great master to reward you, hurry up Click here to thank you..."
Listen to the boss. Guangxiao recited the Buddha's name and walked into the food shop with a bowl in hand. I saw one person and two demons beside the largest table inside, it was my old enemy Guibugui, Baiwuqiu and Xiaoren Sange. Guangxiao didn't seem to recognize the three of them, and walked straight to the home.
After seeing Hiroshi coming over. The old guy smiled and took out a handful of five baht money from his arms. When Guangxiao approached, he threw the copper coins in his hand into his bowl. I didn't wait to thank Guang Xiaoshang. Guibugui smiled and said firstly, "I haven't seen you for a few days, Guangxiao, you are really looking more and more like a real monk. What, after seeing that the alchemist fell down, you must be a monk? Don't bet on the wrong thing. Finally, put yourself in it."
After pouring out a handful of copper coins in the bowl and putting it in his arms, Guangxiao smiled at Guibugui and said, "Thank you for the good karma formed by the benefactor. In the past life, the result of the future life. Good fate will surely last a hundred years."
"Little monk, you really know how to talk. It's been hundreds of years since the old man's hundred-year-old birthday banquet." Gui Bugui smiled. He instructed the restaurant owner to fill Guangxiao's bowl with minced meat soup. When the boss was serving the meat soup, Gui Bugui continued to say to Guangxiao: "Little monk, in addition to the nonsense scriptures you block outside, what scriptures have you learned from your master these days? Come up and listen to..."
"Master has been teaching the forty-two chapters of the sutra these past few days" Guangxiao smiled neither humble nor arrogant, then continued: "But these forty-two chapters are all written in Sanskrit, although I can recite it, I don't know the meaning. If you recite it in this way, you will be slow to wait for the scriptures and the good karma of several donors. When Guangxiao knows the deep meaning of the scriptures in the future, he will preach the scriptures in front of the donors."
"Monk, where did you come from so much nonsense?" At this time, the owner of the restaurant was holding a bowl full of water and broth. Put it in front of Guangxiao, and then scolded him: "Several masters want to hear what you want to hear, just memorize a paragraph, wait for the scriptures and Bodhisattvas, it has nothing to do with you. Make the gentlemen angry, do you still have your share of alms in the future? "After speaking, the boss didn't forget to snort fiercely.
"The store owner taught you a lesson" Guang Xiao did not have a trace of embarrassment on his face, after bowing to the boss and Gui Bugui. Put your hands together and start to recite the forty-two chapters. Although this is a Sanskrit that no one can understand, Guangxiao recites it well, and no one ever finds anything wrong.
The so-called 42-chapter sutra is nothing but a record of the forty-two paragraphs spoken by the Buddha. After Guangxiao memorized two or three paragraphs, he said to the people who did not return: "These paragraphs say The main thing is that the ascetic method is less than contentment, and living men and women must abide by the five precepts..."
Listening to Hiroko's explanation, he is prudent. Not at all like what he said was incomprehensible. After Gui Bugui listened to it, he smiled and said to the former door: "It's too difficult for you, monk, when Xu Fu taught you the technique when you were in Fangshizongmen, I never saw Guangxiao like you. Be attentive. If you can't think of switching to it to teach, you will be so attentive."
Speaking of this, the old guy paused for a while, then continued to say to Guangxiao: "But I don't understand a little bit, Guangxiao, you spend here every day, how can you spend time in the alchemy door and Wentianlou. The middle is vertical and horizontal? Be careful if you go too far. At this time, one of them has already killed the other. Guangxiao, this place is not suitable for you. Go and do your business. Things to do..."
Note: The Forty-two Chapters Sutra is the first translated Buddhist text in ancient China. During the Eastern Han Dynasty, disciples of Shimen were allowed to drink and eat meat, but whether they could eat it was another matter.
