Daily Life at Hogwarts Chapter 139: Apparition
There is a knock on the door of the Defence Against the Dark Arts office.
Professor Broad opened the door, looked at Albert outside the door, and asked suspiciously, "Albert, the Apparition class is over?"
"Not yet, I have something to ask you."
"What's the matter?" Professor Broad noticed the anxious expression on Albert's face and asked.
"I want to experience what it's like to use Apparition?" Albert took a deep breath and said his intentions.
"Why would you think like that?" McDoug looked away from the parchment and looked at Albert, who entered the room.
"Perhaps, you're right, I'm wasting my time on Apparition, but I still want to experience what it's like to use Apparition." Albert hesitated for a moment, then continued: "I've given up for now. The idea of learning it in a short time."
There was a brief silence in the office, and Professor Broad and McDougall looked at each other, never thinking that Albert was going to try to master Apparition.
"Apparating was uncomfortable at first, it was a bad feeling, and some people would not get used to it and give up learning Apparition. Are you sure you want to try it?" Professor Broad asked.
"Yes, I'm sure." Albert knew that the other party agreed, and if he couldn't get the Apparition skill, he should give up temporarily.
"Albert, there is something you need to understand." McDougall's expression suddenly became serious, "Absolutely, never allow yourself to practice Apparition secretly, understand?"
Albert nodded, indicating that he would not do that.
"That's good." McDougall nodded in satisfaction, "Come with me, there's no way to Apparate at Hogwarts."
"No, I'll take Albert to experience Apparition. Before that, though, you need to understand something." Professor Broad began to Apparate to Albert Cope.
"Apparition is actually divided into two parts, Apparition and Apparition. First, you need to use Apparition to make yourself disappear from the original position, and then use Apparition to appear from the desired position. Apparition itself is a A very profound magic, which is why it is required to be an adult before research is allowed."
"There is a limit to the distance of Apparition, and as the distance of Apparition increases, it becomes more and more difficult. Apparition requires the wizard to have a good understanding of the destination. Once the distance is too long, It may lead to separation, serious injury or even death.”
"What I'm going to take you through is Apparition. It's a kind of Apparition. It refers to people who can Apparate, and use Apparition with those who can't."
Albert nodded to indicate that he remembered.
The two left the office together, walked through the foyer, down the stone steps, and headed out of the castle.
The Apparition class in the hall is still going on. Many senior students are still practicing hard. Unlike them, Albert, as long as he can learn the skills of Apparition, he doesn't need to worry about this aspect.
"Hogwarts can't Apparate, we have to get out of this range, usually we just go into the woods." Professor Broad knew that Albert wouldn't want to experience Apparition in the Great Hall.
So, the best option for now is the Forbidden Forest.
The two came quietly to the Forbidden Forest. It was very quiet and no one would disturb them.
"Grab my wrist and don't let go," Professor Broad reminded. "I'll Apparate you to a clearing a few feet away. It's time to start!"
Albert found that the surroundings suddenly became pitch black, and there was a strong feeling of squeezing in all directions. At this moment, Albert felt that he was being compressed by an invisible force, and his eyes were squeezed back into his head, which felt like being stuffed into a narrow rubber tube and was about to be squeezed out from it.
It's all over, Albert, gulping for the fresh air, emerges with Professor Broad in the clearing a few feet away.
"I feel sick." Albert covered his mouth and forcibly suppressed the nausea in his stomach. Soon, he ran to a tree and started retching.
Professor Broad looked at Albert, who was retching against the tree, and comforted: "This feeling needs to slowly get used to."
"Feeling bad!" Albert muttered, but he was soon happy again, because the skill panel was actually Apparating.
When a person is in a good mood, a person will have energy, and some of the original negative emotions will be gradually overcome.
"You know now why we didn't let you Apparate prematurely?" Professor Broad shook his head.
"Do most wizards take their children to Apparate?" Albert couldn't believe it. It would undoubtedly be a disaster for a child, knowing that he was far more capable than others. People are tall.
"No, parents usually don't do that." Professor Broad shook his head and said, "Usually, they will use a simpler method, such as Floo powder."
"I'm definitely not trying to practice this spell indiscriminately." Albert mumbled ~IndoMTL.com~ wisely. "Professor Broad is satisfied with Albert's self-knowledge.
Unbeknownst to him, Albert certainly didn't need to try to practice Apparition, since he already mastered it.
If really needed, Albert would simply upgrade the spell to level 2.
"Albert, do you even want to sneak into the woods?" As soon as Albert walked out of the woods, he was caught by a furious Hagrid.
"Professor Broad, why are you here?"
"Well, Mr. Anderson and I came to the periphery of the forest to do some magic tests." Professor Broad explained casually.
"Oh, that's how it is."
Although he got Professor Broad's explanation, Hagrid looked at Albert suspiciously and couldn't help complaining: "Recently, the Weasley twins have been digging into the woods, making me mad. Yes. I remember you have a good relationship, you should remind them not to let them do stupid things, the depths of the woods are not safe at all."
"Cough, I understand." Albert coughed dryly and hurriedly assured.
Actually, Albert also knew that he couldn't stop the Weasley Brothers' adventure in the Forbidden Forest at all.
After saying goodbye to Hagrid, the two continued to walk towards the castle. On the way, Professor Broad suddenly remembered something, "I heard that there is a breeding base for giant spiders in the UK, and it is very likely that they are in the forbidden forest."
"Eight-eyed spider?"
"Once, a wizard tried to find the breeding base of the eight-eyed giant spider. Later, he disappeared in the depths of the forbidden forest." Professor Broad frowned slightly when he said this, "Those guys are very dangerous ."
Albert said noncommittal, he knew what happened to the breeding base that Professor Broad said, and it was Hagrid's fault at all.
