Daily Life at Hogwarts Chapter 361: What hasn’t changed
The train slowed down and finally stopped.
Albert scooped up the fed, dozing Tom, put it back into the cage, and rushed towards the door with Fred, George and Lee Jordan.
Everyone went down to a dark and small platform. Although it didn't rain at Hogwarts this time, the chill at night made Albert tighten his robes.
In the dark, a lamp was shaking above the students' heads, and a familiar voice came from afar. Hagrid was greeting the first-year freshmen, and it was his task to take the freshmen across the lake.
"Go!" Fred beckons everyone to keep up with the crowd.
The four moved little by little with the flow of people. After crossing the dark platform, they walked for a short distance. Hundreds of horse-drawn carriages were waiting for them.
Albert picked an empty carriage, and after the four got in the carriage, the carriage followed the long motorcade and set off towards Hogwarts Castle.
Halfway, Fred, George, and Lee Jordan were talking about Harry Potter again. Albert didn't bother to get involved, leaning against the window and looking at the brightly lit castle in the distance.
The carriage finally stopped under the stone steps in front of the oak gate. Albert got off the carriage and climbed the stone steps. When he was about to enter the castle, he saw Professor McGonagall calling him by the oak gate.
"Mr. Anderson."
George, who was chatting with Fred, stopped and looked over curiously.
Professor McGonagall also stopped Katrina and motioned for the two to come with him.
She led the two of them into the room next to the auditorium, closed the wooden door, and after making sure no one was eavesdropping, she took out two timers from her pocket and handed them to each of them.
"It's a time changer, wear it around your neck, and turn it once to represent an hour," Professor McGonagall warned. Bad effects on the body."
"Over and over again, I know how to use it." Albert nodded to show that he knew.
Katrina, who was next to her, glanced at Albert and agreed to express her understanding.
"Very good." Before leaving, Professor McGonagall reminded again: "Don't let other people know, and don't use it for learning unexpected things."
"We promise." Albert and Katrina said in unison.
"Okay, let's go to the banquet, I'm going to welcome the new students." Professor McGonagall said and strode away.
Albert put the time-turner in his leather bag and walked with Katrina toward the auditorium.
Fred, George, and Lee Jordan have left him a front row seat, and the front row is in demand at this time, and everyone wants to see the legendary Harry Potter up close.
"That should be the new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor." Albert's gaze fell on the chair, and beside Snape was a young man with a ridiculous scarf on his head, his face seemed to be nervous rather pale.
"Professor Quirrell." Percy said without hesitation what he had just received from the nearly headless Nick.
"It seems far less reliable than the first two Defence Against the Dark Arts professors." Albert said softly, "By the way, have they found Professor Smith?"
"Unfortunately, no." Percy apparently left last year's Professor Smith behind. "Almost the whole of the UK has been rummaged, but still no one has been found."
"Everyone said he might have been murdered," whispered Lee Jordan.
"The risk of being a Defence Against the Dark Arts professor is really high. I hope this one can also resign smoothly." Albert said dutifully. After seeing Professor Quirrell with a ridiculous scarf on his head, Albert guessed that Voldemort should have been attached to the back of his head.
Did Dumbledore really not notice?
It's really hard to say!
If he hadn't known something in advance, he probably wouldn't have noticed it himself, just thought it was ridiculous for the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor to have a scarf wrapped around his head.
However, when Harry Potter, Voldemort, and Dumbledore actually attended the banquet together, it was an inexplicable joy to think about it.
"It's not as serious as you said. Although none of the Defense Against the Dark Arts professors have been able to teach for more than a year these years, many professors have not had any serious accidents." Percy comforted.
"It is undeniable that this class is indeed a bit wicked." Albert muttered softly, "I think if this Professor Quirrell didn't resign early, something would have happened."
"You stop cursing him." Fred reached out to cover his face.
"I think if something really happened to Professor Quirrell, it's probably because of what you said just now." George couldn't help but complain.
"Shut up, it's not easy for Professor Quirrell to be a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor." Lee Jordan felt that Professor Quirrell was about to die in the final eighty percent.
The auditorium suddenly became quiet, and everyone looked at the freshmen who had just entered the hall, trying to find the legendary Potter.
Albert found it, and knowing the information is actually easy to find. Next to the red-haired Weasley, the slightly thin black-haired boy with glasses is Harry Potter.
The murmurs in the auditorium began to cease, and soon fell to complete silence.
Then, the Sorting Hat in front of the freshman begins to sing:
You may think I'm not pretty,
But don't judge people by their appearance.
……
……
Because I am a thinking hat!
It's a new song, and this time the Sorting Hat bows to the four dining tables one by one after singing the song.
Albert felt his face twitch and raised his hand to applaud with the others.
As soon as the applause died down, Professor McGonagall began taking the roll call. The first was a little blonde girl named "Hannah Abbott" who was assigned to Hufflepuff.
As for the little girl who helped Neville find the toad, it turned out to be Hermione Granger, who was assigned to Gryffindor without any accident.
"I thought she'd be sorted into Ravenclaw," Lee Jordan murmured.
"The boy who lost the toad was also assigned to Gryffindor." George looked sideways at Albert, and he felt that he really shouldn't compare his predictions with Albert.
"I thought he was going to be in Hufflepuff." Fred asked, turning his head to look at Albert. "How did you know he was going to be in Gryffindor."
"Guess."
When Professor McGonagall called Malfoy, Fred said with a look of disgust: "This guy will definitely be sorted into Slytherin~IndoMTL.com~ Sure enough, Malfoy's head just touched the hat, The Sorting Hat called out Slytherin.
"You know him." Albert asked knowingly.
"Malfoy's child, very annoying guy, their family looks down on Muggle-born wizards. Actually, I really want to know what he will use to look down on you." George suddenly smiled maliciously. Get up: "I think you can despise him completely."
Albert glanced at Malfoy, who was welcomed by the Slytherin students, and muttered, "A little brat spoiled by his family."
"I like your comment." Fred gave a thumbs up.
"Harry Potter!"
As Professor McGonagall called out the name, there was a sudden murmur in the auditorium.
"She's calling Harry Potter?"
"Is that Harry Potter"
In order to see what the legendary Harry Potter looks like, the restaurant was full of people. Many people craned their necks to take a look at Potter. Some students even stood up and looked over there.
This scene gave Albert a star-chasing sense of sight.
A moment later, the Sorting Hat called out Gryffindor.
The loudest cheers erupted immediately from the long table in Gryffindor.
Percy, who was sitting in the front row, stood up and shook hands with Harry, looking like a leader.
"Look, in Gryffindor," said Albert softly.
Neither Fred nor George heard him, they were shouting: "We have Potter we have Potter"
Albert did, however, notice Lee Jordan's "true" mouth shape.
He looked back at the chair of the guest of honor, his eyes fell on Dumbledore, the headmaster was raising his glass slightly, and seemed to be satisfied that his savior was not crooked.
