Daily Life at Hogwarts Chapter 54: Astronomy Lesson
The Astronomy Tower is the tallest tower at Hogwarts, and astronomy classes are held at the top of this tower.
Having said that, the astronomy class is of a more exotic type. There is no unified book for this class. Students only need to bring telescopes, quills and parchment to class.
This astronomical tower is really tall, and the group of people who went to the top of the astronomical tower to take classes deeply experienced it.
Everyone is climbing up the spiraling stairs. I don't know how many floors they have reached. Everyone feels an inexplicable dizziness, and their breathing becomes a little short due to the movement.
"What floor is it?" Arya asked breathlessly.
"It's the eighth floor." George raised his finger to a portrait of a drunken knight beside him, and smiled and introduced to everyone, "Last time, when Fred and I came, I saw this guy drinking Drunk, he fell into the river and nearly drowned."
"How could the characters in the portrait be drowned." Angelina couldn't help but complain.
"Who said no. Look carefully!" Fred winked at everyone mischievously, combined his hands into a trumpet suit, and shouted at the portrait of the drunken knight: "Ah!"
Then, a stunned sight happened in front of them. The drunken knight in the portrait seemed to be startled by the shout, suddenly became panicked, started running wildly, and finally fell into the mural statue in a river.
The drunk knight threw himself twice in the water and sank into the river. The woman in the portrait next door hurriedly called for help and tried to fish him out of the river.
Everyone was stunned to see this scene, and their mouths widened in surprise.
Soon, everyone had to speed up their steps to climb up, because Fred's strange scream annoyed several paintings next to them, and they all stared at Albert and his party dissatisfied.
"It's almost there," George gasped. I don't know how long they walked, they finally reached the top of the tower,
"It's really a long journey, but luckily we have enough time." Albert glanced at his pocket watch, and it was almost time for class.
"By the way, if it rains at night, I won't be able to take this astronomy class." George suddenly sounded something, and the sky would be lost when it rained.
"Who knows? I'll probably leave you with a bunch of homework!" Angelina reached out and pushed open the wooden door of the Astronomy Tower.
Professor Sinista has been waiting for everyone at the top of the tower. She has just finished a class.
After nightfall, the wind on the top of the astronomical tower was strong, and everyone huddled in the corner to chat. The Hufflepuff students haven't arrived yet, they're running late.
"I guess I'm lost." George gloated a little, hoping that Professor Sinista would deduct points from Hufflepuff's students.
George is doomed to be disappointed, though, and Cedric and the other Hufflepuffs arrive at the top of the Astronomy Tower before class begins.
"It's really hard to find here, I was almost late." Cedric Diggory, breathing quickly, greeted the few people here with a smile.
"Okay, come over here, the class is about to start." Professor Sinista attracted all the freshmen, an item covered by a canvas was placed beside her.
"I know that you are very unfamiliar with astronomy. Astronomy is to teach you this knowledge." As she said, she pulled the canvas aside to reveal what was hidden underneath.
"This..." Albert saw what was under the canvas, a small solar system model housed in a round glass dome.
This model of the solar system is very beautiful. In the middle is the burning sun, surrounded by nine planets and their satellites, all suspended in circular glass spheres, sparkling in their respective positions.
"This is the solar system, and we live here." Professor Sinista pointed to the earth and continued, "Your class this semester is to learn how to use a telescope to observe the sky and find nine in the sky above us. The exact location of the planet."
Students from wizarding families are obviously unfamiliar with celestial bodies, and Albert doubts whether they know that the planet they live on is called Earth.
Professor Sinista held the magic wand and pointed to the moving celestial bodies. He briefly introduced the movement of the celestial bodies, their solar system and other simple astronomical knowledge. The names and positions of the nine planets are marked on the horoscope.
For Albert, it's really nothing.
However, for others, it is difficult to remember for a while.
"Wrong, this position is Mars, not Jupiter." Albert reluctantly corrected Fred's mistake, and George next to him was not much better.
After everyone finished drawing the star map of the solar system, Professor Sinista began to teach everyone how to find the position of the planet they needed in the galaxy overhead.
The wizard's telescope is actually very effective, and it may have something to do with magic, and it can see things more clearly than ordinary Muggle astronomical telescopes.
"Have you found the location of Mars?" Shanna narrowed one eye and looked into Albert's lens.
They don't even know which one is Mars, and for a freshman who has never used a telescope, adjusting the focus itself takes a lot of time.
"I didn't find it." Albert is also quite helpless~IndoMTL.com~ In fact, he has already looked in the direction of Professor Sinista's finger, but it is not easy to find the most spark in the sea of stars.
Professor Sinista, who is walking around, occasionally looks at the students' telescopes and corrects some of their mistakes.
"If you only rely on magic, do you really have the ability to travel to the universe?" This strange thought suddenly appeared in Albert's mind.
There should be no way!
After all, the number of wizards in the Harry Potter world is very small, and the scarcity means that the number of geniuses is also small...
Perhaps the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic has research on this, but that's just research after all...
After shaking off the thoughts in his head, Albert refocused his attention on the telescope and began to use the telescope to admire the stars in the sky.
Before, he hardly saw the sight of the stars in the sky?
Until the end of the get out of class, Albert hadn't found the nine planets in the solar system, and he didn't care. The more important part of this class is to let everyone understand some astronomical knowledge and be familiar with how to use the telescope. Sinesta The professor's homework is also very simple, which is to memorize the approximate positions of the nine planets and their names.
"It's almost curfew, go back quickly." Li Jordan reminded.
"I'm a little hungry, and I'm going to the kitchen to get something to eat." Albert took out his pocket watch and looked at the time. There were still twenty minutes left, which was enough time.
"Wait a minute, we'll go with you." The twins quickly handed their backpacks to Li Jordan, "Don't worry, we'll remember to bring food back for you."
"You..." Li Jordan looked at the backs of the three of them, trembling with anger, "You three... bastards, wait for me, don't leave me alone!"
