Harry Potter’s Book of Sin Chapter 1241: Lock the city

Wendell, is an extremely ordinary Muggle man.

He goes to work in the factory every day to work hard for his promotion and salary increase; and when he is off work, he rushes home immediately, just to take a look at his newly born daughter.

To be honest, his life is not actually a happy life. He has been married to his wife for less than two years. The young couple seems to have suddenly entered a period of burnout. The passionate time before marriage faded more than inferior sweaters. Even faster.

No way, because of the relationship between pregnancy and childbirth, his wife quit her job as a salesperson in the mall. As a result, the burden of maintaining the family's livelihood was suddenly weighed on Wendell.

In order to make his wife and daughter's life better, Wendell worked hard every day.

The factory's work is based on piecework. The daily workload exceeding the fixed task quota will bring him more pounds as a bonus at the end of the month.

But obviously, it must be very difficult to balance work and family at the same time. Even though he was thinking about his beloved wife and lovely children every day, his exhausted body and busy schedule made him somewhat powerless to accompany him.

Even every night, he always fell asleep with his pillow, making his wife feel like he was lying with a corpse.

So, just the night before, the originally gentle wife had a fight with him after all.

Yes, Wendell can actually understand how his wife feels. After all, although he is working hard, it must be difficult for his wife to take care of children and do housework at home by herself every day.

But what can be done about this?

However, Wendell did not expect that just the day after he quarreled with his wife, the entire London was covered by an incredibly thick fog.

Undoubtedly, the production line of the factory must be shut down in such a foggy day where even the interior has become a little hazy.

This fog is like an opportunity given to him by God, so that he can have an absolute reason to stay at home with his wife and daughter.

Therefore, while Wendell was complaining loudly this morning, there was an inexplicable joy in his heart. And he also understands that this joy is undoubtedly not exchanged for the few pounds earned every day.

It's a pity that he didn't know at the time that this vacation that seemed to have fallen from the sky was a nightmare at all.

……

"Boom"

A dull explosion sounded suddenly from a street not far away, scaring the wife who was washing the dishes and smashing a plate.

Then the frightened daughter began to cry.

Wendell hurried to the kitchen area, hugged his wife who was a little bit shocked, and then looked out the window in front of the sink.

But now there is fog everywhere outside. At first glance, it is just a gray area, and nothing is true.

"Honey, just...what was that?"

"It sounds like something exploded, is it a car? Or a natural gas pipeline?" Wendell shook his head, "I don't know, who knows?"

When my wife heard this, she couldn't help thinking about it:

"Could it be... a bomb? An attack?"

"How is it possible!" Wendell immediately patted her arm and said soothingly, "It's okay here but London, it's okay!"

Even if I stand here and look out, I just can't see anything. So after he finished speaking, he immediately took his wife into the house.

"Don't wash it now, let's go see our daughter..."

But before he finished speaking, he suddenly saw another figure rushing past the window from the corner of his eye, and he was shocked to drag his wife back two steps quickly.

"What's wrong?" His wife asked quickly, "What happened?"

"No, uh..."

Wendell doesn't know how to say that their house is an apartment, this is the fourth floor! How could someone pass by outside their window?

Although he felt that his eyesight was very good, he could not have seen it wrong just now, but after hesitating for a while, he still shook his head.

"It's nothing, it seemed that a bird or something flew past outside just now, it shocked me."

"Really?"

The wife glanced at the window suspiciously, then whispered:

"Don't be so surprised, I was surprised by you!"

Both husband and wife retreated from the window a little uneasy, then turned around and walked to the other side of the room. The baby girl has been crying since just now. She must be frightened. They have to coax.

Back in the room, Wendell watched his wife pick up the child, carefully wiped away the tears for her daughter, and hugged him in his arms and swayed gently. He stared at the child dozingly for a while, and then looked towards the window with some carelessness.

Like the kitchen, looking out from the window here, you still can't see anything. Not only that, the mist also penetrated through the gaps in the windows, making him very worried about whether it would have a bad effect on his daughter's health.

"My dear, this morning I saw that the Wilson family on the opposite side had gone out, as if they were leaving London. I was thinking, should we also take our daughter to my parents for a few days?"

"Well, all right!"

When the wife heard it, she nodded immediately, but soon became worried about the authenticity:

"But...you said that you won't be in danger? Look at the explosion just now...and, today, neither the TV nor the radio can receive the signal."

"It should be okay... right?"

Seriously, Wendell had no bottom in his heart. He only knows that he must not panic, because if he panic, his wife must be even more afraid.

What's more, this is London, the capital of England! If it is not safe even here, is there a safe place in the whole of Britain?

But at this moment, a mess of movement suddenly sounded from the door, making Wendell's expression stagnant.

"It looks like Wilson? Don't come out, I'll see what's wrong."

"Be careful!"

Wendell nodded at his worried wife, then immediately turned and walked out of the room, ran behind the door and listened.

You can hear it, there seemed to be several people outside who were arguing about something, and the mess made it hard for him to hear clearly through the door. But he still heard Mr. Wilson's voice, and he was familiar with his slightly hoarse voice.

The next moment, Wendell carefully opened the door a crack, and after confirming that there was no unknown person outside, he dared to open the door completely.

"...Stop arguing! What's the use of arguing here! Not to mention that the intersection is blocked, there are soldiers at the outermost side, and I will definitely not be able to get out today! It is better to go home. Stay honestly!"

Mr. Wilson's voice is still so loud, one can suppress the voices of his wife and mother. But the two women ignored him at all, still arguing there, listening to what they said, it seemed that Mrs. Wilson had to leave this "ghost place".

"Wilson, outside...what the **** happened?"

When Wendell saw this, he had to walk over and ask aloud in a loud voice, only then did he see the neighbor turning his head to look at him.

"It's the army. The army blocked the way out of London!" Mr. Wilson immediately waved his hand. "There are thugs in the city, but the army doesn't allow us to go out for refuge... God! What a mess!"

"Oh! Thug?"

When Wendell heard this, he subconsciously glanced back at the house, and he was slightly relieved to see that his wife did not come out after hearing what he said. He knows that his wife has always been courageous, and if he hears of thugs or something, he will definitely be scared.

On the other side, Mr. Wilson said again:

"In fact, we didn’t see the thugs seeing such a fog this morning, so I wanted to go out as soon as possible, because we planned to go to relatives’ house as a guest today. I drove a lot along the way. Slowly, and I didn’t see any thugs, and finally I heard about it from others after being blocked in the road."

"Is that so?" Wendell thought for a while, and frowned. "Thug...This sounds terrible! Oh, when you just came back, you should have heard the explosion? So... Could it be that... Did the thugs do it too?"

"Maybe!" Mr. Wilson shrugged. "It sounds like it's on the street next door... Well, what kind of world is this! It was fine yesterday..."

While the two were talking, Mr. Wilson's wife and mother had already quarreled into the house from outside, which made the aisle finally quieter.

Mr. Wilson turned his head slightly, and said:

"I have to go back and persuade them again, sorry...In short, for the time being, I'd better stay at home and don't run around! Remember to lock the door when you get home!"

After talking to Wendell, Wilson turned and walked into their house, closing the door tightly.

Wendall watched him go home~IndoMTL.com~ and immediately ran back to the living room, closing the door quickly, and then he frowned and stared at the door with a solemn expression.

A military blockade? thug? What's this all about!

For things like this, he hasn't experienced it once in such a big life. For a while, he really doesn't know what to do.

"Honey?"

A few minutes later, probably the wife felt a little worried when she heard that there was no sound outside, and suddenly poked her head out of the room and took a peek. Seeing him standing alone at the door, I couldn't help but called him.

"Oh," Wendell immediately turned his head and forced a smile at his wife, "It is indeed Wilson and his family, it's okay... The child doesn't cry? Is he asleep?"

"Well," the wife held her daughter softly and nodded slightly, "My dear, how did they come back, Mr. Wilson? Did something happen outside?"

When his wife asked, Wendell didn't know how to answer, so he was silent for a while.
