Harry Potter’s Book of Sin Chapter 365: Dumbledore on the road

()"Professor Snape?"

In the deserted corridor, Snape and Maca paced forward one after another. On the way, Maca only yelled, seeing that Snape didn't mean to respond, he didn't say any more, just followed his footsteps.

Just judged by the route of travel, Snape should take him to the principal's office.

When the two reached the door of the principal's office through the escalator, Snape paused, then drew his wand and tapped the closed door.

Soon, with a soft sound of the organ, the door to the principal's office, which was obviously locked, opened leisurely.

Seeing that Snape took a step and walked in, Maca immediately followed. Just as soon as he stepped on the floor of the principal's room, his eyes were attracted by a flaming crimson.

That was Phoenix Fox, who was standing on the bird stand as usual, lowering his head casually, using its sharp beak to gently trim the feathers under his wings.

I'm used to Fox's Maca, but this time I stared at it a few more times, and there was a strange look on his face.

"Professor Snape, it's all here, should I say something?" Maca turned his head and looked at Snape who was standing at the principal's desk with his back to him. "The next few days will be very busy, you know."

"Hmm."

Snape snorted softly, then turned around and handed the small glass tube to Maca.

"Dumbledore asked me to give this to you."

After hearing this, Maca reached out and took it, and put it in front of her to take a look.

In that small glass tube, there are some pure silver floccules inside, entangled in a ball.

"This is...memory?"

He has never seen such a materialized memory, so he seems hesitant.

"Probably!" Snape said flatly, "Dumbledore left no explanation."

"Professor..." Maca shook the glass tube, then looked up at Snape, "How did Dumbledore's death come back...no, I just wanted to ask, Dumbledore Did Lido die or not?"

"Didn't you check it yourself?" Snape did not respond positively.

"But—" Maca looked at the Phoenix Fox on the shelf, then looked at the glass tube in his hand, frowned and said, "Before this, I still vaguely felt that Dumbledore was doing magic It’s another step on the road...How could he be like this..."

"I know the reason for his death. I just want to communicate his own death." Snape said casually, "You are not stupid, you should be able to figure it out?"

After Snape mentioned this, Maca nodded thoughtfully.

Dumbledore's death was quite abrupt in everyone's eyes. This is true for oneself, and of course the same is true for outsiders.

Don't look at Voldemort talking so easily in the stone room, but if someone asks him, dare to attack Hogwarts Castle now? He might get rid of the idiot who asked the question the first time.

Whether Albus Dumbledore is dead or alive, he is enough to make people dare not move. This is the mighty power accumulated by the greatest white wizard of our time.

Seeing Maca lost in thought, Snape waved his hand, then pointed to the glass tube in his hand.

"As for his real thoughts, I haven't been able to figure it out anyway. Let me say...Look at what he left you first! Maybe there are clues in it, right?"

In fact, whenever Dumbledore was mentioned, Snape would seem quite impatient.

Although he was indeed the double agent Dumbledore had planted on Voldemort's side, the relationship between him and Dumbledore was only maintained through a certain transaction.

Now that Dumbledore is dead, Snape's thoughts are more complicated.

"...so too."

Maca grabbed the glass tube in his hand, sighed softly, and walked straight to the cabinet where the Pendant Basin was placed.

"Come to my office again after reading it," Snape said as he walked to the door, "I feel uncomfortable talking here."

Looking at the door to the principal's room slowly closing, Maca shook his head slightly, then reached out and opened the cabinet door.

The squiggly silver light of the **** basin soon filled the cabinet. Maca pulled out the oak plug on the glass tube, poured the pure silver floc inside, and shook his palm over the shallow basin by the way.

The flocculations quickly melted away silently under the action of magical power.

When Maca saw this, he immediately lowered his head and plunged his face into the silvery mist.

……

Hazy.

The first thing Maca felt was a haze like being in steam or a thick mist.

I can't see anything, I can't touch anything.

He can't feel his own weight, nor does he have any sensory feedback. Only by "feeling" can he clearly discover his own existence.

Suddenly, he felt as if he "saw" something--it was a looming figure walking slowly towards him.

Step by step, without hurries or slowness, as if going on a purposeless trip.

With every step of the figure, the "hazy" around him will flow and converge into a real scene.

In Maca's "Horizon", it is like seeing a very wide oil painting, slowly approaching him. In that dreamlike oil painting, every touch of oil is constantly extending and spreading.

As the scene became complete, Maca soon discovered that it was a western street covered with a thin layer of snow.

The weather seems to be at night, and the street lights along the street are lit, and the faint light is much brighter under the reflection of the snow.

On both sides of the street, the doors and windows of the scattered houses are mostly closed, and the curtains are not even opened.

As Maca looked at the more complete scene in front of him, the illusory figure gradually became clear.

Long white beard and white hair, silver-gray nightgown, wrinkled and vicissitudes of appearance...and those pale blue eyes that are always hidden behind half-moon lenses.

"Professor Dumbledore?"

Maca wanted to talk, but found that she couldn't even find her mouth.

Dumbledore came slowly and stood still before Maca's consciousness.

"Maca, here you are..."

He smiled and opened his mouth, but Maca only realized that Dumbledore's voice was directly in his consciousness.

"How about, is this place very strange?" Dumbledore said gently, "You don't need to talk...because you can't speak, and I can't hear..."

"I know you must have a lot of questions, but those are not important... well, at least for me, it's not important anymore..."

"Because the bonds between you and everyone, and the efforts you have made for those bonds, allow me to be myself-the self who knows how to be selfish."

Maca understood what Dumbledore said.

Because of the existence of Maca, Dumbledore finally had time to continue to understand the true meaning of magic, and took another step smoothly.

"This irresponsible old man!"

After thinking about this, Maca couldn't help but roll his eyes to show him.

"You must be a little angry when you hear me say this? Of course, then..." With a mischievous smile on Dumbledore's face, he paused before continuing, "Then, I Let me tell you one thing you most want to understand right now..."

"Well, if I make a mistake, don't blame me..." Dumbledore smiled, "Yes, for you, I'm already dead, so dead. ."

"But for myself, I am obviously not ‘dead’... Or, there is still a long way to go before the real ‘death’!"

Maca was taken aback when he heard it, and then immediately "looked" around. But the surrounding scenes are no different from the "reality" he perceives, and he doesn't see anything famous at all.

"Limbo?"

In Maca's consciousness, a strange and familiar word flashed past.

In the magical world, this term has not existed since ancient times. This is a complete Muggle coinage. The so-called spiritual **** can be interpreted as "the edge of hell", which is the closest place to death.

But Maca didn't know that the concept itself actually originated from the magical world.

"It doesn't matter if I don't understand, I called you this time just to introduce you to this place..." Dumbledore said softly, "Remember the sentence I always emphasized? For a wizard , Death, is just another great adventure."

"I have been looking for the door to ‘adventure’, but there are some past events in my heart, which keeps me from being relieved..."

Dumbledore said, looking at him as if he could see Maca.

"But Maca~IndoMTL.com~ Your appearance made me gradually understand that the ties of tethering are just that I am haunting myself. Watching every step you take, watching you Going forward without nostalgia, I know where I am wrong."

"So now, I’m on my path again—I am no longer struggling with my past mistakes, no longer blaming myself for Ariana’s death, and no longer taking Ariana’s wish as myself. Wish..."

"So, I can finally retire."

The "Arianna" that Dumbledore said was his sister who had died long ago.

Although Maca also knew that Dumbledore had been regretting what happened back then, he did not expect that strong and profound self-blame was the direct reason that made him the principal of Hogwarts.

"Arianna and I both love the whole world deeply, but I always understand that the'love' between me and her has never been in the same form."

When he said this, Dumbledore looked so energetic, as if even his old face was dozens of years younger.
