Harry Potter’s Book of Sin Chapter 39: The calm before the storm

"But, who is that desperado?" Harry raised his own question loudly, "If you have to be cursed for the rest of your life, it would be better to die, right?"

"Yes," Firenze agreed, "Unless you just use it to procrastinate your life so that you can drink another thing. It's something that makes you fully rejuvenated and magical. This is something that makes you immortal. Mr. Potter, do you know what is hidden in the school at this moment?"

"The Sorcerer's Stone! Of course, the elixir! But I don't know who it is..."

"Can't you think of it? Who has waited silently for so many years, eager to make a comeback... Who is holding on to life, waiting for the opportunity?" Firenze repeatedly laid out those obvious questions.

For a moment, it was as if an iron claw suddenly grabbed Harry's heart. For a moment, he didn't even feel the pain in his calf, he just panted blindly, as if he would choke immediately if he didn't do that.

"Did you mean," Ha said in a low and hoarse voice, "It's a flat-"

Maca didn't care about what Harry said. He was with Hermione right now. She seemed a bit unwell, her small face was slightly pale, and she remained silent.

"What's the matter, Hermione?" Maca looked at her and asked.

"No, nothing, I just--" Hermione pursed her lips. "I just think that I have read so many books and learned so much knowledge. But when I need to use it—"

"If I could even use a Levitation Charm then Harry would not be hurt."

Maca shook his head lightly, and whispered: "This has to be done step by step. Also, you should narrow down the scope of learning, at least you should learn how to choose."

Hermione nodded. Maca had said similar things several times, but she didn't really listen to it until now.

"Well, this time the goal has been found, we should go back!" Hagrid clapped his hands.

As Maca said, Harry's leg injury quickly healed, and he didn't even wait until the next day. In astonished praise, he and Hermione chatted with Ron for a long time. In the lounge, Harry gave his guess-he thought Snape's real purpose in stealing the Philosopher's Stone was to give it to Voldemort.

For this, Harry excitedly told Hermione and Ron of this discovery. Suddenly, Harry's excitement, Ron's panic, and Hermione's worries were all revealed, and the three of them began to face the exams at the end of the semester with their own minds.

  ……

The examination situation is naturally different.

Take Harry, for example. He has been worrying about where Voldemort will come out lately, and this kind of speculation often disturbs his mind. However, as time passed by, it seemed that Lu Wei was still behind the locked door, snoring unharmed.

Another example is Hermione. She is also reviewing nervously recently-she always feels that her knowledge is not sufficiently reliable, so she still recites or transcribes over and over again.

Another example is Maca. Uh-he seems to have nothing to say, because his mind is not on the exam at all. Every day, I'm either studying the material theory of potions, or hard-working the scrolls of truth, and I don't want to mention everything.

Day by day passed, and the exam finally arrived.

It’s surprising that Maca almost missed the first exam. This was just because he was still choking time like usual, and rushed to the classroom that was supposed to be scheduled for the day as usual before the class, but he didn't remember at all, and it was actually time for the exam!

The exam time always passes quickly, and it doesn't take long before the intense exam is over.

While Harry and others were relaxing in the warm sunshine, Maca had returned to the library again to continue his research. Not to mention, he has already had some eyebrows about the symbols on the scroll of truth recently, and it is estimated that something will come out soon.

Because of this, he left the library only after a while. This time, he came directly to the responsive room-he had some interesting ideas to try.

Just as Maca was excited by his research findings, Harry and the others learned some terrible news from Hagrid.

"...Hagrid, I have one thing to ask you. Do you remember the night you played cards to win Norbert? What did the stranger with you look like?"

"I don't know," Hagrid said casually, "he wouldn't take off his cloak."

He saw the three children's faces immediately showing astonishment, and raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"What’s so strange about it, Pig’s Head Bar—that’s the bar in the village. There are always some weird guys patronizing him. Maybe that guy is a dragon vendor. I haven’t seen his face clearly. He is wearing a hood!"

Harry flopped down and sat on the ground when he heard the words.

"What did you tell him at the time, Hagrid? Did you mention Hogwarts?"

"Maybe I mentioned it." Hagrid frowned and recalled vigorously, "By the way... he asked me what I did, and I told him I was the guard of the hunting ground here. He asked me a little bit. I told him which animals I looked after... and then I said that I have always wanted a dragon in particular."

"Later...I don’t remember well, he kept buying wine for me to drink. Let me think about it again, yes, then he said he had a dragon egg in his hand. If I want, we You can play cards and gamble, but he must find out if I can deal with this dragon. He doesn’t want the dragon to run out and make trouble! So I told him that I can even control Lu Wei, one. Dragons are nothing at all—"

"Does he seem...appears to be interested in Lu Wei?" Harley asked, and he was trying to keep his tone calm.

"Yes, I'm very interested-how many three-headed dogs can you meet, even near Hogwarts? So I told him that Ruwei is actually easy to deal with, you just need to know How to make it quiet, put some music to it, and it will fall asleep right away—"

At this point, a look of horror and regret suddenly appeared on Hagrid's face.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione got up immediately and left. They were silent until they reached the hall before stopping in a hurry.

   "We must go to Dumbledore—"

Harry walked a few steps back and forth, but couldn't figure out how to find him. As they hesitated, Professor McGonagall appeared behind them.

"If you have to find Professor Dumbledore, he left ten minutes ago." She said coldly. "He received an urgent letter from the Owl from the Ministry of Magic and immediately flew to London."

"He's gone?" Harry said anxiously, "At this time?"

"Professor Dumbledore is a very amazing wizard. He has everything to do and time is precious—"

"But this matter is very important!"

When Harry blurted out the word "Sorcerer's Stone", Professor McGonagall was shocked that the book fell all over the floor.

"How do you know--" she stammered.

"Professor, I think I know Snee...someone tried to steal the Philosopher's Stone. I must talk to Professor Dumbledore!"

Professor McGonagall looked at him with eyes intertwined with consternation and suspicion. Obviously, she couldn't believe it, and seemed confident in the defensive measures of the Philosopher's Stone.

In the end, she put down the sentence "I suggest you go outdoors to bask in the sun" and hurriedly left.

"Just tonight," Harry said quickly when he was sure that Professor McGonagall was walking away and could not hear, "Snape is going through the trapdoor tonight. He got everything he needs, now He deceived Dumbledore from the school again. He must have sent the letter. I dare say that the Ministry of Magic would be surprised to see Dumbledore suddenly appear."

  "But what can we have—"

Hermione took a sharp breath, Harry and Ron turned around, only to find Snape standing behind them.

"Good afternoon, little lions." He looked at them and said with a sneer.

"In this weather, you shouldn't stay in the house." Snape's muscles twisted and a weird smile appeared on his face~IndoMTL.com~We were just now—" Harry realized he didn't know what to do. What to say.

"You need to be careful," Snape said. "Wandering around like this, people will think you want to do something bad. Gryffindor can't afford to lose more points, can they?"

Harry flushed because of this, they turned and walked outside, but Snape called them back.

"Remind you, Potter. If you wander around in the middle of the night again, I will fire you personally!" Snape sneered, "Happy."

As soon as the three of them came to the stone steps outside, Harry couldn't wait to speak.

"Well, we must do this now," he whispered eagerly. "One person is responsible for monitoring Snape and waiting outside the staff lounge. If he comes out, follow him! Hermione, this matter. It's better for you to do it."

Hermione wanted to ask why it was her, but when the words came to her lips, they turned into something else.

"Why don't you discuss with Maca first?"

It can be seen that she obviously trusts Maca more than Harry and Ron.

Harry thought for a while, and thought that perhaps, as Hermione said, Maca always had some ways to do it, and was always calm about violating school rules.

But when they almost searched the whole school, but still didn't find the Maca, it made them wonder.

"Where did Maca go?" Ron scratched his scalp, wondering.

"It should be said, where else could he go-we've been everywhere!" Hermione was also puzzled.

After all three of them hesitated for a moment, it was Harry who made the decision.

"Let’s proceed according to the plan just now!" He said, "Let’s split up and stare at Snape."
