Hogwarts Outsider Chapter 16: Slytherin’s common room
After the applause ended, Professor Troka sat down.
But Professor Grindelwald is still standing there.
"Also, we welcome all first-year students!" he continued.
The applause sounded again, much more eagerly than before.
"The moment you step into the Hogwarts campus, this castle is like your home, it will shelter you and accompany your growth; no matter when and where you encounter any suffering , Hogwarts will be your most solid barrier!"
"However, you must also abide by the discipline, rules and traditions of Hogwarts. Professor Kettleburn asked me to remind you that students are prohibited from entering the Forbidden Forest on campus; Mr. Pringle, the administrator, also hopes that I I warn you that casting magic in the corridor is absolutely not allowed; and Professor Rozier wants all of you to know that lateness and unfinished homework will be severely punished..."
"...Even though Hogwarts is divided into four colleges, the bond of magic and mystery has always bound us together. Harmony and unity are the wishes left by the four founders, so I don't want to see any unnecessary disputes in the castle..."
"...Finally, I would also like to remind everyone that insulting names such as **** and mudblood are strictly prohibited in Hogwarts!" The headmaster said with shining eyes on Slytherin I scanned the side of the long table: "If you don't believe this, you might as well try it."
"Now, before everyone goes to bed, let's sing the school song together!" Grindelwald said finally.
With a flick of his wand, a long golden ribbon flew out, twisting and coiling lines of words above the high dining table like a snake.
Matthew noticed that the wand in his hand was somewhat different from ordinary wands.
"Hogwarts, Hogwarts,
Hogwarts, Hogwarts,
Please teach us knowledge,
Whether we are balding old people,
Or the kid who broke his knee..."
Different students began to sing the school song according to different tunes.
So much so that the auditorium looked a little funny.
Grindelwald's voice is the loudest, and his singing is the most beautiful.
"Music, let's go to bed with everyone!" He wiped his eyes and said, "I wish you all a happy year ahead."
……
The Slytherin first year followed Miss Gemma Farley through the noisy crowd out of the Great Hall and down the marble stairs.
After such a lively party, many were a little weary; Crabbe and Goyle, for example, were yawning.
They first came to the exit between the castle and the basement, and then walked down the stone steps step by step into the gloomy underground corridor.
The light in the basement is a bit dim, and it takes about a dozen steps to see the lone torch on the stone wall. Moreover, this corridor is very empty, amplifying their footsteps, which sounds a bit gloomy.
A gleam of light at the end of Miss Farley's wand led them forward, through forks in the road.
Matthew had been watching his surroundings, trying to remember where each of their turns was.
After about ten minutes, they stopped by an empty, wet stone wall.
After waiting for a while, a stone door appeared on the stone wall, with a big green snake drawn on it, and the snake's mouth bit its tail.
"As you can see, the symbol of Slytherin is the giant snake - the most intelligent creature." Miss Farley introduced: "Also, the colors of our house are emerald and silver."
She gently touched the head of the snake on the stone gate, and then said softly:
"Blood is thicker than blood!"
The snake on the stone gate began to squirm, and as it moved, the stone gate was slowly opened.
"This is the password, change it every two weeks, pay attention to check the bulletin board."
Then, a group of them walked into the Slytherin common room——
It was at this moment that Matthew realized that the location of the Slytherin common room was at the bottom of the Black Lake.
The ceiling is transparent, and you can see the sparkling light above, as well as the schools of fish swimming by from time to time.
But aside from the poor lighting, it's barely a cozy circular room ~IndoMTL.com~ A warm green fire burns in the fireplace, surrounded by plush armchairs.
Gemma guided the girls through a door to their dormitory; after that, she led the boys through another door.
A fairly spacious bedroom, fully enough to accommodate five people living here.
Five traditional four-poster beds with green silk hangings and silver thread embroidery on the bedspreads. Many medieval tapestries can be seen on the surrounding walls, and silver lanterns hang from the upper ceiling.
Matthew found the bed with his name on it, and also saw that his luggage had already been delivered.
On the top of the luggage, there is another slender cardboard box; upon closer inspection, the trademark of "Grigovich" is written on it, and the name of "Garrick Ollivander" is written in a line of small characters.
Is this your own magic wand?
Matthew carefully opened the carton, and there was a brand new black walnut wand lying quietly in the carton, and there was a wand leather case beside it.
The four roommates were exhausted, and when Matthew looked up, he found that they had all changed into pajamas and fell asleep.
Matthew himself was not sleepy at all. He opened his suitcase and took out the items inside.
Until I saw the old book sitting quietly at the bottom of the suitcase.
"Are you responsible for all this?" Matthew asked softly.
He seemed to be talking to himself again.
Suddenly, a small voice came from the left.
The soft sound of waves lapping against the window from the bottom of the lake outside the window.
Matthew turned his head and saw a giant octopus slipping past the window under the dim light.
The huge eyes of the octopus were staring at him.
