Kingdom’s Bloodline Chapter 101: The Greatest Knight (Part 2)

Seeing his mother walk away, Mertesar let out a sigh and fell to the ground.

Leyoke looked at the direction Beth disappeared, with a complicated expression:

"In the past few years, you and Mother Bess have lived here?"

   Mertesa snorted coldly.

Leyoke frowned: "You know, Boss Morris can help..."

   "That's what mommy means!"

Mertesa interrupted him unceremoniously: "She said that the fraternity has changed, getting bigger and bigger and more chaotic, and she doesn't want to stay any longer."

"Like this, we may not live well."

  "But we can survive."

He stood up straight and stared at Lyok, jealous and hateful:

   "Not like you."

Leyoke was silent for a while:

"I remember, you followed Roda back then."

Mertesa laughed, his laughter filled with bitterness.

   "Of course! Roda! Iron-core Roda!"

"But hey, look at me," Mertesa turned around laboriously, showing his broken arm, unwilling:

   "He doesn't need waste."

"And you think, for so many years, except for the big darlings like you and the steel cone and thunder axe, how many of us so-called'Thirteen Generals' are still alive? How many?"

Leyoke didn't respond to his question, but looked deeply at Mertesar's broken arm.

"Count the days, quiet killer," Mertesa snorted and shook his head:

   "It's not long anyway."

The two old acquaintances of the Brotherhood face each other silently, speechless for a while.

   "Mertesar, right."

Thales stepped forward in a deep voice:

"What happened to the abandoned house in recent years?"

   Mertesar glanced at Thales.

"What kind of battle is this again," the man looked at Lyoke with disdain:

"Who are these three? Your new lover?"

Lyyoke's face was cold, and his arm touched the handle of the knife again.

   But Thales coughed.

"Look, Mertesar, people are watching us."

The prince smiled and gestured to the curious faces around him.

"So, the longer you stay with us, the more people who **** your pot—the sixth house, right—will be more curious about what we talked to you, or..."

   Thales smiled:

"How much did you give away?"

   Mertesa's complexion changed:

   "Bah!"

  Mortsa hates and is authentic:

"You must be a kid under Morris's hands, cunning like him."

But Thales didn't care, just staring at him quietly.

"Now, do you want to answer the question?"

"What happened to the abandoned house?"

Mertesa snorted twice, and looked at Leyoke and the other two big men, before speaking unconvincingly:

"If you remember, Leyoke, six years ago, the day of the One Night War--"

Speaking of which, Mertesar glanced at his severed arm and croaked fiercely:

   "Fuck."

   No one else spoke.

"In short, when we were cutting people on Red Square Street that day, something happened to the abandoned house."

"Rhoda's son took care of this place, but the waste drank too much, killing a lot of beggars, and the rest ran away..."

drank too much and killed a lot of beggars...

Thales listened to the story quietly, expressionless.

It seems to be someone else’s story.

  Leyoke narrowed his eyes:

   "Quide."

"I remember that trash, and I remember it."

   Mertesa nodded, unhappy:

"Some people say it was a conspiracy by the Blood Bottle Gang, and the waste was finally killed by a few beggars..."

Thales unconsciously raised his hand and pressed the scar on his chest.

"But the worst thing is, that guy’s Lao Tzu is my ex-boss--Rhoda smashed the sunset bar for the sake of beggars. I heard that he also took charge of the abandoned house with his son. The deputy drank a drink."

   Thales frowned.

   Mertesa shrugged:

"I know Rhoda—trust me, this is indeed something he can do."

  Lyyoke calmly:

"I know, Boss Morris talked to "Iron Heart" and they solved this matter."

  Mortsa disdain to babble:

   "Resolve a fart."

  He looked at Leyoke unhappy:

"When this happened, who in the Brotherhood would dare to take care of the mess of the abandoned house?"

Mertesa looked back at the homeless people around:

"There is a precedent, if something happens to the beggar, it is to slap Morris in the face, he must ask you to settle the account;"

"Even if the beggar takes care of it, it is even worse-Roda is thinking about his son. If you know that you are in charge of the beggar, you will definitely see it not pleasing to your eyes;"

"Maybe, there will be a few more restless people out of the beggar, like Quaid, and wipe your throat while you are drunk..."

Mertesa smiled sarcastically, quite a bit self-defeating:

"If you do this, people who are still willing to come to the abandoned house are not only the old, the weak, the sick and the disabled!"

"Mertesar," Leyoke hesitated for a moment:

   "You..."

Mertesar chuckled, his tone full of pain and disdain:

"Do you know what is more interesting? Rhoda always thought that the murderer of his son was not caught, so he let me stay here and wait for the beggar to return to the snare-see, for good reason , A good excuse to throw away rubbish!"

At the last sentence, he almost yelled out.

I'm throwing myself into the net.

Thales raised his head subconsciously, and looked at Mertesa again.

But Mertesar didn’t care what his words had to do with the person in front of him, just laughed at himself:

"You see, people like us...Hey, I'm a fool, open the door at dawn and lock the door at night, and when they come and go, the beggars gradually become lazy, and they ran a lot. Even the street business is out of oil and water."

  Mortsa bored and authentic:

"The new thugs are even more reluctant to come-Red Square Street has just been taken, who doesn't want to go there to enjoy the blessing?"

Cohen, who has been listening carefully, couldn’t help it anymore, he took a step forward:

"So what about the beggars in the abandoned house? Are fewer?"

Mertesa watched Cohen's standard army stance warily:

   "Which one are you?"

   Cohen is anxious: "I—"

"Rookie in the Brotherhood," Thales pushes Cohen back without changing his face:

  "Retired from the army--and then?"

   Mertesa looked at Cohen suspiciously.

"The Brotherhood has really grown in and out," he hummed softly:

"In the past, the soldiers who had served in the service were only willing to go to the blood bottle to help."

"Mertesar." Leyoke reminded in a deep voice.

   Mertesa waved his hand unhappily.

"After that, I don't know what happened, the city hall is watching here."

As soon as this remark came out, whether Lyork, Thales, Cohen, all three of them were taken aback:

  "City Hall?"

"Yeah, I don't know what the bad luck is," Mertesa was listless:

"Every once in a while, the official team is mighty, from green skin, blue skin to steel skin, they will come to the abandoned houses to make surprise attacks, in the name of combating human trafficking and banning child labor gangs."

"At the most exaggerated time, the beggars in abandoned houses were evacuated once a week to avoid inspection. That was called a riot, and even business in other places was affected."

Cohen's eyes slowly changed, he scratched his head:

"Oh, I remember, there were several sweeps..."

But Thales pinched him, and asked in a deep voice:

   "Why?"

"I don't know," Mertesa shook his head:

"I have a friend who lives in Qingpiwo. He said that they don't want to come here, and they don't want to do this kind of flower work without oil and water, and the Qingpis don't want to."

"But the order was sent from someone higher up. They had no choice but to follow it even if they did it."

Leyoke is still puzzled, Cohen is also puzzled, and Glover looks on indifferently.

Only Thales, he stood on the side in a daze, his mind confused.

   City Hall is eyeing here...

The command was sent from the person above...

   Thales clenched his fists subconsciously.

   said so...

He clenched his teeth, resisting the gratitude that surged from his chest.

   Thank you, Gilbert.

"So the abandoned house was so messed up, it was not enough to make ends meet, and the gain was not worth the loss. Boss Morris decided: to tear down the fence of the abandoned house, release the beggars, and divide them into small pieces. In the hands of the gang, there is a tuft here, a circle there-it’s better than playing it off and being swept by a net some day."

Mertesa's face darkened, then he laughed mockingly:

"As soon as the beggar is gone, we useless people...haha, isn't it even more useless?"

  Leyoke was silent.

Cohen couldn’t care about the other party’s mood, he took an anxious step forward:

"So, the beggars of the Brotherhood, are no longer kept in the abandoned house?"

"and put it in various gangs on the street?"

Mertesa looked up at Cohen, his eyes circled on the hilt of the opponent's sword, a little confused, but still replied:

   "More than just."

Mertesa tightened his empty right sleeve, sneered lightly:

"Brotherhood, there have been no beggars for a long time."

Everyone was stunned when he said this.

"What do you mean?" Cohen reacted the most, his eyes widened:

   "Nothing? Why?"

   Mertesa sneered:

   "Because I can't afford it."

Leyoke took his gaze away from the poor people around:

   "Why can't I support it?"

   Mertesa gave him a look:

"Why, you have followed Morris for so long, don't you know? He didn't tell you when he **** your ass?"

Lyyoke exhaled, unbearably he pressed his hand on the hilt again.

But Thales is faster than him.

"Mertesar, do you know what this is?"

Thales smiled and stretched out a fist.

Mertesa took a sip on the ground:

"Ha, Zaozhuang, I hope your fists can be harder than the stuff below you."

But Thales didn't think he was disgusted, and still held his fist firmly.

"I’m holding a silver coin now."

"A certain king’s head and a line of characters are engraved on it."

   Mertesa frowned.

Thales pointed to the broken house behind him, gentle and authentic:

"Ten seconds later, I will throw it into the yard where you live with your mother-and it will make a crisp metal sound, let everyone else here know."

   Mertesa's face changed.

"Trust me, I have seen that a small silver coin can change the destiny of many people."

Thales pointed to the tramp who looked curiously in the distance, smiling undiminished:

"Now, I will ask again: Why can't the gangs support beggars?"

   Mertesa stared at him angrily.

"I've been living in an abandoned house, I don’t know very well," Seeing Thales put his fists away and made a throwing gesture, Mertesar changed his words without hesitation:

"But people on the street say that in recent years..."

"A newcomer has arrived in Qingpi nest."

   Thales was taken aback:

  "Newcomer?"

   "Yes, people call him..."

   Mertesa is not authentic:

   "Stupid police officer."

At that second, everyone was stunned.

All eyes are on the same person.

Mertesa didn’t care about their abnormalities, and said to himself:

"The street says that guy has a bad brain, but he has a lot of energy."

"I heard that he went to the streets to make troubles in three days, especially to'take care of' those beggar gangs. He was always in jail when he saw the children helping their parents set up a stall. Children bother him."

Thales’ breathing quickened, and he turned his head slowly:

Cohen stood in a daze, listening to Mertesar's words.

"There are a few gangs who want to knock him sap or something, but that cub...fuck it so fucking, he has a bruised face, swollen head and blood, and the road is unsteady. Take patrols on the streets like okay people."

   Mertesa shook his head lightly:

"There are still people who want to go the way inside the green skin, splashing dirty water, stuffing black money or something, but how to say, that cub species, the brain is really lacking and broken, the whole person is a bad pen, no oil and salt Come in."

" In the past few years, he has been complained, reprimanded, punished, suspended, detained, and eaten so many times that he is still ignorant. He hasn’t learned anything. But I ran into the street with great strength! It was messing up endlessly!"

"I heard that several gangs fainted and decided to kill people, but there is no further information. I guess they were stopped-what a joke, you know that Qingpi's life is clear in Yongxing City, you are really on guard Is the restaurant vegetarian?"

Mertesa said with a smile, just like talking about a joke after a meal.

Glover looked at Cohn in surprise, and Leyoke frowned.

But Cohen stared at Mertesar blankly, losing his senses and breathing disorder.

Thales had to bump his arm.

"In the past few years, the subordinates of the Brotherhood, eight or nine gangs responsible for watching beggars, were all about to cry. They were all miserable, and it was hard to even go to the streets to do business, let alone make money. "

   Cohen swallowed hard.

"Such gangs either can’t afford to eat, they are separated, or fall into the hands of that idiot Qingpi, go in and squat, or switch to another business: doing business at Xichengmen to accompany outsiders, in Hong Kong Isn’t it more popular to watch clients and make fat sheep in the street than to raise a kid to ask for money and perform errands?"

Thales didn't speak, he just stood there and took a deep breath.

   "So now..."

is Cohen speaking, his lips are shaking, his voice is tense:

   "Now..."

   "Yes," Mertesa's tone fell:

"Now, with so many streets around the area, no one is thankful to raise beggars in captivity anymore-at least what I know is gone, thanks to that idiot Qingpi."

"The beggars you are encountering now either go to the streets and run wild, or work for the parents at home, and you have to guard against it, in case that stupid guard comes to shop again one day— -Brother, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"

Mertesa looked suspiciously at Cohen, whose chest was rising and falling.

Cohen closed his eyes and waved his hand.

He turned his head to one side to prevent others from seeing his face, only his shoulders were shaking slightly.

"Nothing," Thales didn't change his face, but he felt complicated:

"He has a friend who was pitted by that idiot, so he was a little excited."

Cohen hid his face tightly in his sleeve, and nodded in agreement.

Glover handed out a handkerchief blankly, Cohen pulled it over, and started blowing his nose without saying anything.

Mertesa put on an expression of looking at a fool, frowned and looked at Cohen.

   "Wait."

Lyyoke is unwilling to be authentic:

"The Brotherhood no longer raises beggars, what about our street intelligence and new blood?"

   Mertesa chuckled slightly.

"The ghost knows, but it's always something that happened, so I secretly stuffed the beggars some money to let them work, run errands, touch the sheep, let the wind and spread the letter..."

Mertesa said and said, his expression was uneasy:

"That's right. In recent years, you have obtained a large number of sites on Red Square Street from the blood bottle helpers. There are not enough people to collect protection fees on these new territories. How about beggars..."

"In the past, the Brotherhood was so crushed by the blood bottle gang that they couldn’t lift their heads, but now, look at you, the prestigious boss of Lyyok, who beat the red bandanas to the head and want to join the Brotherhood It’s too late to line up!"

Mertesa laughed, and the laughter was bleak:

"Who the **** has time to take care of our stale waste-who the **** cares!"

The air was filled with Mertesar's crazy laughter, and Leyoke remained silent for a long time.

Mertesa laughed enough, he calmed down:

   "Now, who has the problem?"

Cohen was still rubbing his face, and Glover tugged at the corner of his mouth indifferently.

Thales took his gaze away from his sleeve and stopped talking.

Lyyoke looked at him deeply and shook his head.

"Very good," Mertesa bowed hard, sarcastically:

"Now excuse me for my unaccompaniment, gentlemen."

After saying this, he turned around and limped in the direction of Beth.

Lyyoke quietly looked at his back, at the empty sleeves.

"Aren't you going to the sixth house?"

  Quiet Killer suddenly uttered:

"At least, go get the pots and bowls back."

   Mertesar sneered without looking back.

"The other group of brothers' thugs who live there are dead or sick," Mertesa pressed his severed arm, his voice lost:

  "But they are crowded."

  Lyyoke shuddered slightly.

The sound of Mertesa's footsteps fell together and faded away.

   "Mertesar, wait!"

Lyyoke sighed, walked up, and handed out a purse:

"Listen to me, Boss Morris just needs..."

   Mertesa took the purse subconsciously.

But after a few seconds, his expression changed from stunned to annoyed, ashamed, and then vicious.

   "Morris Morris Morris!"

"Can you **** stop chanting other people's names all day long! You are a person!"

Mattsa's eyes were red, he threw the wallet away, and roared:

"And he is not your father!"

  Mortsa's fierce reaction shocked everyone.

Lyyoke stared at the moneybag on the ground and took a deep breath:

"Listen to me, Boss Morris, he is different from Rhoda..."

"It’s not like you are paralyzed!"

   Mertesa roared:

"I don't need your charity! Get out!"

One of the former thirteen generals dragged his remains angrily, and left tremblingly.

"This is the so-called'come out,'" Glover didn't know what he thought of, he looked at Mertesar's back and said quietly:

   "All dignity is vain."

Cohen sniffed, still hiding half of his face in his sleeve:

"No, I... I actually think... others are pretty good... woo..."

Only Leyoke didn't say a word. He looked at the back of his old acquaintance from a distance and closed his eyes.

Thales walked past him, also watching Mertesar's limping pace, and said with emotion:

"This is how he ended-even the thirteen generals."

"If one day, you become like him..."

   "What would you do?"

Lyyoke opened his eyes, killing intently: "I don't know."

"But I am definitely not following you, madam."

   Thales gave a chuckle.

But he immediately turned around and looked at the silly big guy who was crying in a mess.

   "So, Cohen."

Thales looked at the abandoned house in distress, at this once heavily guarded and cruel place:

"The Brotherhood...there are no more beggars."

  The guard trembled.

Thales raised his head and felt for the first time that the sky in Yongxing City was no longer gloomy:

"Thanks to a certain persistence and stupid-stupid police officer."

   Cohen sobbed heavily.

He lowered his arms, and randomly threw his handkerchief back to Glover, who was full of disgust.

"I don't know, Your Majesty, wow, I mean," Cohen's eyes were red and he sniffed, and said sincerely:

   "Wow!"

   Thales smiled.

"Although it is very complicated and dramatic, but..."

"Those beggars who have escaped, come to sweep away the abandoned city hall, the most important thing is you, your efforts, Cohen..."

Cohen breathed desperately, feeling the blockage in his chest, looking at the prince gratefully.

  "They did change something."

With infinite emotion, Thales stepped forward, sighing with emotion:

  "They are useful."

"Even if... there is only one sword."

Cohen swallowed his sore throat, his feelings were complicated:

   "I don't know, Your Highness, I don't know..."

He buried his face in his hands again.

Glover sighed and took out another clean handkerchief.

"Do you remember, Cohen," Thales knew how the guard was feeling at the moment, but he gradually became fascinated:

"What we did in the Palace of Valor six years ago."

   Cohen looked up suspiciously.

"You said, I saved the world."

Thales is quiet and authentic, as if returning to the winter six years ago:

"I didn't understand at the time, but..."

"Just like you said-our desperate efforts in the Palace of Valor, seem insignificant..."

Thales took a deep breath, turned to the way he came, and moved forward.

"But for those who may be affected by future wars..."

  "Our efforts..."

  "It did save the world."

Thales crossed everyone and raised the corners of his mouth from an angle no one could see:

   "Thank you, Cohen."

Glover followed Thales and bumped Cohen in a daze.

"No, no, I didn't do anything at all," Cohen reacted, hurriedly caught up, and threw the second handkerchief to the zombie by the way:

   "I'm stupid, I don't understand many things..."

"No, Cohen," Thales took the lead and walked towards the exit of the abandoned house where there were no more iron locks: "Only dull fools."

   "You can become a hero."

   Cohen paused slightly.

   just now.

   "Speak up without shame."

Lyyoke straightened up, picked up the purse that Mertesa lost, and said coldly:

"Even if the Brotherhood doesn't care about it, do you think these beggars will learn by themselves on the street?"

"Their situation will only get worse."

Leyyoke was holding the purse tightly, a trace of pain appeared on his face:

"It's still the same in the end, becoming someone like us."

   "You are far from success."

   Cohen frowned.

Glover hummed softly, and turned his mouth in the direction of Mertesa:

"Why don't you worry more about yourself, how can you not become the next him?"

In that second, Leyoke's arm suddenly appeared blue.

"You are right," Thales suddenly took the topic:

"We are still far from the so-called success-the lower city is still chaotic, the kingdom is still dark, society is still unfair, and we are still fighting against those... enemies that cannot be killed at all."

Glover looked at the prince, wondering why he said this.

   Thales' complexion darkened:

"Even, we can never succeed-even if we try our best, our children will not succeed even if they spend their entire lives, even thousands of years later."

  Leyoke smiled coldly.

But it was Cohn who replied.

   "But so what?"

Everyone turned their heads and looked strangely at the police officer who was speaking.

"It won't succeed—that's the point of this, isn't it."

Glover gave a wink, Leyoke frowned.

"Because it can't be done," Cohen breathed in a daze, clenching his fists:

"Persist in doing it, it makes more sense."

He reacted, raised his head embarrassedly, and looked at the others carefully:

   "Right?"

  Leyoke's brows tightened.

   Thales laughed.

   laughed happily.

   "Well said, Cohen."

   Thales sighed:

"Do you know who is the greatest knight in the world?"

"Huh?" Hearing the cultural class question, Cohen's expression instantly turned into a bitter face, he scratched his hair:

"When I was young, the old man and the teacher taught me the ten great knights in the history of the empire...but I...I seem to remember that there was a knight named Needham..."

   Thales shook his head.

   "No."

"The greatest knight in the world," Thales said quietly:

  "His name calls..."

Glover and Cohen are engrossed, even Leyoke is watching him.

Thales closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then slowly opened his eyes, extracting the great name from the long-lasting memory:

   "Don Quixote."

At that moment, everyone was stunned, and everyone looked confused.

   Only Thales is still smiling.

"Um... I didn't do well in school when I was young, can I ask, who is he?" Cohen asked carefully.

Thales was silent for a moment.

"He is a knight, a knight who is determined to charge towards the most impossible goal."

   Glover and Coenzi were stunned.

The prince raised his head, his eyes filled with confusion:

  "But he is still charging."

   "Even if he..."

   "Never succeed."

The next second, Leyoke suddenly took a deep breath!

He turned around abruptly, and threw the moneybag in his hand toward a place with the most homeless people!

Thales and others were all startled.

"I have something else," Leyoke parted ways with them without looking back amidst the jingle of coins falling and the clamor of people:

"You go around by yourself, the brotherhood has said hello, no one dares to take you too hard."

   Thales frowned:

   "That's not the way out."

"I know." Lyyoke replied coldly, leaving them a distant back.

   But Thales laughed.

He knows: That's the direction of the sixth house~IndoMTL.com~ Is he angry? "Cohen wiped the last tear from the corner of his eyes and asked carefully.

   "No," Thales shook his head:

   "He is lost."

  ?

Cohen looked at Leyoke in the distance and touched the back of his head in confusion.

"Are we going to follow him, Your Highness, it's safer to have him." Glover stared around cautiously.

"No," Thales suddenly felt very happy, he looked at the most familiar road before:

   "We will not go back."

Glover suddenly had a bad feeling.

"Where shall we go?" Cohen asked stupidly: "I recommend the Westside Security Agency..."

Thales shook his head, his eyes firm:

   "Fuxing Palace."

   Brother Luofo frowned:

   "Go to... for what?"

Thales stopped, he turned a direction and looked straight at the horizon.

   Brother Luofo's heart was stunned.

He knew: That is the direction of Fuxing Palace.

Thales takes a deep breath and exhales slowly:

   "Charge."
