Otaku Engineer in Great Tang Dynasty: Personal situation and follow-up notice!

Looking at the background, it has been more than a year since the last update (August 5, 2022). Without saying hello, I stopped updating for more than a year. I am really sorry for the book friends who have been following the update, and I would like to say sorry to you.

Let me briefly talk about what Xia Ke has experienced in the past year or so, and also explain the reasons for the discontinuation of updates.

About July last year, my wife became pregnant. Then in August, a controller localization project entered a critical stage. I was very busy, often working overtime, and even sometimes being called in on Saturdays and Sundays due to emergencies. I went to work overtime, and when I got home from work, I didn’t dare to ask my wife to do housework because she was pregnant. I did all the cooking and washing dishes myself. During that time, I was really exhausted both physically and mentally!

(By the way, localization projects are really difficult to implement. During the project process, Xia Ke felt like he was a guinea pig. He was completely helping chip manufacturers clear mines. After completing a project, he helped the chip manufacturers find new ones. There are a lot of bugs. But having said that, although localization projects are difficult to implement, in the face of Western blockade, localization is a general trend and imperative in China, and there is nothing to complain about)

Under the circumstances at that time, the knight had little time to update the novel. In addition, the plot at that time was about to reach the high-C part of attacking the Turks. There was too much preparation for this part in the early stage, and This is the first time for Xia Ke to write a novel. He is not good at writing about war. If he wants to write this part well, he needs to make a lot of knowledge reserves.

Therefore, time constraints and the difficulty of writing the plot are the most direct reasons for the discontinuation of updates last year!

But at that time, Xiake did not expect that the update would be interrupted for such a long time. What he thought at the time was that after the localization project at hand was completed and he was no longer so busy, he would start updating. It was expected that it would be able to continue in less than a month. Updated, so there is no billing chapter to explain the situation to everyone.

It turns out that Xia Ke’s prediction was too optimistic! The inertia of human thinking is also somewhat underestimated!

For the project that Xiake was working on at that time, due to some internal reasons within the company, Party A was too able to "delay" and slow down the progress. Sometimes I felt that they were in a hurry. When they encountered bugs, they were always anxious for us to find them quickly. Reasons and fixing bugs are also the direct reason why I am sometimes called to work overtime urgently on Saturdays and Sundays;

But sometimes I feel that they are not in a hurry at all. After I solve the bug, they don’t rush at all and do their testing slowly. However, they can always avoid us urging us to deliver. talk.

This resulted in several other similar localization projects of mine that were initiated later than theirs, but were delivered much earlier than them!

That period was really painful, because you had no idea when you would be called on a business trip or to work overtime. You couldn't spend Saturdays and Sundays well. Your spirit was completely tense, and naturally you had no intention to do it. Think about the plot of the novel.

Here, I have to criticize myself. Interrupting updates is really addictive. Once the updates are interrupted once, there will be countless times.

I used to be used to updating. I would always turn on my computer to code after work. I would always think about the plot on the way to and from work. But since I started to stop updating in August last year... I have become accustomed to it when I come back from work. Although I was really busy and tired during that time, I stopped being so busy later. I could take some time to update, but because of this **** inertia and laziness, I haven’t updated it for more than a year. ……

It is indeed difficult to cure mental laziness. Over the past year or so, Xia Ke has tried to update, but often gave up halfway without typing a few words, because he was used to letting his brain relax after get off work. It’s easy to think about nothing, just fall asleep after eating.

But no matter what, the book "The Engineering Otaku in the Tang Dynasty" cannot be eunuch, and it cannot be without an ending~IndoMTL.com~This is what the knight promised at the beginning, no matter what the results are, this book will not be **** !

So, after several months of preparation, mainly to strengthen my belief in updating, Xia Ke decided to start updating in October!

Continue to talk about what I have experienced over the past year.

In March this year, my wife gave birth. Originally, the whole family was expecting to have a daughter (except my wife). According to the traditional experience that a pointed belly is a son, and a pointed belly is a daughter, it should have been a daughter, but I didn’t expect that after the birth, she would be a daughter. son.

Later I found out that my son is also quite cute, and everyone in the family loves him, but the first few months after he was born were really torture, and it was very hard to take care of him. Although my mother also came to help us take care of the child, but still It feels very hard...

Now that the child is more than six months old, he can be a little less worried. At least he can basically sleep through the night.

In May of this year, due to some reasons, Xiake resigned from his previous company (when he resigned, the delayed project was still not fully delivered, the manual work was ridiculous, it was too late), and he joined the current company , a bit far from home, but relatively speaking, my nerves will not be as tense as before, and I will have the time and mood to continue thinking about the next plot.

Since we are still in the "rehabilitation" stage, it is impossible to expect an outbreak. It is not easy to guarantee four thousand updates per day. Please forgive me! Of course, the knight-errant will speed up the pace a little in the plot, and after our Comrade Li Zexuan finishes fighting the Turks, the book should basically be coming to an end. We won’t talk about the next book, uh, if there is a next book. Let’s finish this book first. Let’s finish it successfully.

Sincerely, dear readers, Xiake once again apologizes to you for the long break in updates!
