Rome Must Fall: Write in front
I originally promised everyone to release new works after a few months' break, but I didn't expect that it would be a year later before I reopened the author section of Qidian.
The main reason for missing the appointment was that my daughter was about to take the high school entrance examination. Today's high school entrance examination is no less competitive than when we were young, and the competition is no less fierce than the college entrance examination. What's more, my daughter insists on taking the path of an art student. In order to get into her favorite art high school, she took several months off from school to train in the studio. My daughter is working hard, and parents cannot be idle. While I am doing my best to provide logistical support for her, I am also always worried: If she fails to pass the exam, I am afraid it will be difficult for her to even study in the general high school. But what to do?
Fortunately, Huangtian paid off, and in early July, her daughter received an admission notice from China's top art high school.
I finally breathed a sigh of relief and finally had time to fulfill my previous promise.
Only when I picked up the pen again, I discovered that I am a little different from when I started writing "Ancient Greece: The Overlord of the Mediterranean" with passion seven or eight years ago: I am nearly fifty years old, my physical strength has obviously decreased, and I sit at the computer. You will feel tired if you go more than three hours beforehand, and with presbyopia, it is not easy to inspire your passion for writing...
But there is also a bright side: you don’t have to worry about your daughter’s studies anymore, and there isn’t much to worry about. Work is easier and you have plenty of time. As long as you don’t desperately update for the sake of competition and let the increasing pressure damage your health, Instead, I returned to the original intention of writing novels, out of hobby, to kill boring time, write slowly, and think slowly, I think I can still write the next work well.
"Rome Must Fall" is the name of my novel. It is still about Western history and the rebirth of the struggle for hegemony. I hope to write it differently compared to the previous one about Ancient Greece. Please stay tuned!
