The Divine Hunter Chapter 4: Cause of death

In a bright morgue, six corpses were lined up in a row.

The corpses exuded a faint rotten odor and a pungent smell of liquid medicine. Four of them were brown because they had been soaked in the antiseptic liquid for too long, and the two fresher corpses had not changed much. .

The bright light illuminated their slightly decayed skin to every detail. Without exception, there were traces of dissection from top to bottom, with long and ferocious centipede-like slits running along their chests. Spreads all the way to the abdomen.

Scattered stitching marks can be seen on the sides of some corpses, which should be fatal wounds. The most horrifying thing was the pale and swollen face of a man, covered with threads like a fragmented rag doll, clearly divided into four parts: upper, lower, left and right.

These seams are extremely conspicuous, and unexpectedly clean and neat, as neat as a row of tightly fitting zippers on a coat, which shows the coroner's superb stitching skills.

Francis crossed his arms on his chest and looked around with satisfaction.

"Man, you didn't see the state of their death before...I guarantee...in the entire Elland, only Francis has such exquisite craftsmanship, allowing them to basically maintain their appearance in life."

"Your psychological quality is also good, not as bad as I thought..."

Roy said nothing, his eyes fixed on the freshest corpse, his pupils tightened, and a trace of surprise flashed across his face.

"How...do you know the deceased?"

Roy nodded towards the curious coroner, while Kramer sighed and said, "Although Knight Thales is usually arrogant and annoying, I was surprised to end up like this. Unexpected."

The latest deceased was none other than Arthur Thales, a serious Knight of the White Rose who once stopped Roy and the Demon Hunter at the gates of Elland and wanted to have a duel.

"The murderer is provoking the Knights!" This thought flashed through Roy's mind.

"Speaking of which..." The corner of Francis's mouth curved with a touch of sarcasm, "The way this knight died was relatively easy and dignified..."

"Let me introduce it to you," he gracefully stroked his chest and performed a half-curtsey, and then pointed his knuckled index finger at the corpse's chest. There was a slender suture mark on the left chest.

"The body of Lord Thales was found in a small alley on the west side of the palace. He was kneeling on his knees, humbly and piously holding his heart in the direction of the palace!"

"Hiss..." Roy imagined the scene and shook his head, "Cause of death?"

"There was some undigested celandine left in his body. He must have died after drinking a crudely made anesthetic drug and then having his chest cut open and his heart taken out." Francis raised his voice with slight disdain. Face, "The murderer's technique was horribly crude. I think he had no basis in surgery. The wounds were severely damaged by sharp tools and lacked any sense of beauty!"

As he spoke, a small scalpel flexibly circled between his fingers like a silver pike, creating an afterimage.

"Are you sure it's a sharp weapon and not a monster's claws or teeth?"

"Are you questioning my authority!? But you can't doubt the judgment of your teacher - the demon hunter named Leisuo also looked at the wound and came to the same conclusion as me."

Roy turned to Dennis Kramer.

The latter nodded at him.

Then his eyes turned to the next corpse - a middle-aged man with a big belly and an ugly face. He noticed that this man's mouth was weirdly open, his thighs were swollen, his calves below the knees were skinny, and his body was soft and covered with scars, giving him the feeling of a crushed water bag.

"This person's identity is far inferior to that of a noble knight... One is in the sky and the other is underground. He is the ant and the beggar in the underground!"

"Beggars?"

"Are you surprised? The old beggar Barr is still a poor old man with disabled legs. He can only lie on the cold and dirty ground all day long and stretch out his hands to beg. Why would the murderer inhumanely kill such a poor man?"

Francis said in a rapid tone, almost dancing, "The poor man could not enjoy a trace of mercy until his death. His death was the most painful among the six people."

"Oh?"

"He was penetrated alive by a young sapling from bottom to top. It penetrated through the "excretion port" below him and came out from his mouth.

So, he grew upright in the cultivated soil together with the tree. Francis shook his head, "Old Barr with disabled legs, death finally made him straighten his spine!" ”

Roy's eyelids twitched. There were some pitted holes on the side of the corpse. Could it be branches coming out of the body? Furthermore, what is the connection between the knight and the beggar? Did the murderer choose his target at random? He rubbed his brows in confusion.

The coroner seemed not to see his face and continued to introduce himself,

"Next, please allow me to solemnly introduce to you the third to last deceased, Mr. Bruce the Butcher Powder Keg, who was lucky enough to be elected the easiest way to die."

This is a fat man with big shoulders and a round waist. Apart from the anatomical wounds, there are no other scars on his body. He can be regarded as the most complete corpse.

"Look, it was so peaceful and peaceful. He just fell asleep under the influence of an overdose of anesthetics, without even a sound of snoring. His mother-in-law no longer had to complain about his thunderous snoring, and his neighbors no longer had to worry about this. A man with a bad temper who threatens with a knife when he disagrees, the murderer can be considered as killing harm for the people... Well... there is nothing wrong with him. But carrying such a big man near the palace is not something ordinary people can do."

Roy rubbed his chin, his eyes flickering and completely lost in thought, while the dwarf Kramer stared at him nervously. Francis glanced at the two of them, paused, and then said,

"This burly and handsome young man is Scud Boris. He was a three-time champion of the Ireland Derby. Unfortunately, his performance has become increasingly disastrous in recent years. He only drinks to drown his sorrows all day long. Even if he had not died, he would probably have died this year. Can't pass the qualifying rounds."

"What about the way he died...it was quite creative! The murderer was such a genius, he actually wanted to exchange his internal organs with those of his beloved horse!"

"Sure enough, compared to perverted humans, monsters are cuter!" Roy sighed in his heart. Sometimes, the same kind is more cruel than the different kind.

"Heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys, his internal organs went into the stomach of the old man who had been with him for ten years, and his stomach was stuffed with the internal organs of the old horse. He and his horse died together in another way. But in In his dilapidated stable, I found that the dead old horse had old injuries that had been abused for at least a year or two."

"I guess this down-and-out knight likes to vent his frustrations on his old buddy. ~IndoMTL.com~The last two..." Francis shrugged without interest, "Wei The teller of Valdi Bank had his fingers cut off, his eyes were taken out and he bled to death... The manservant of the palace had his mouth and nose roughly sewn shut and suffocated to death."

"The two of them are relatively good-natured."

After pondering for a moment, Roy's dark golden pupils turned to the coroner, "I want to hear your opinion, Francis. Do you think serial killers are psychopathic to satisfy special hobbies, or have some ulterior purpose?" ?"

"Purpose?" Francis smacked his lips in disbelief, "What purpose? To take revenge on the Knights, create murders to make them panic, and then be driven back by the prince in despair?!"

"Did Reso tell you about his discovery?"

"You should know about that guy. He seems to have a persecution delusion and won't trust anyone. I've finished telling you all the information I can provide, and I can't help you with the rest!" He looked at the two men impatiently. The man raised his chin, "Should you two hurry up and arrest the murderer? Today, I still have a few corpses that I haven't finished processing..."

"But...if you want to invite me to Peacock Flower, that's no problem. I can stay as long as you want!"

Roy and the helpless dwarf exchanged a look,

"Okay, I won't disturb you."

After turning around and walking a few steps, Roy suddenly stopped again, "Francis, how many years have you been a coroner?"

"Ten years or more, I can't remember!"

The coroner who was playing with the scalpel looked nonchalant, but he didn't know that a brand new piece of information emerged from him and was reflected in the eyes of the person opposite.
